(1) The number of salespeople employed by XYZ Company exceeds the number of employees at XYZ Company who are not salespeople.
(2) The percentage of XYZ Company's salespeople who are commissioned exceeds the percentage of employees at XYZ Company who are salespeople.
(1) The number of salespeople employed by XYZ Company exceeds the number of employees at XYZ Company who are not salespeople.
(2) The percentage of XYZ Company's salespeople who are commissioned exceeds the percentage of employees at XYZ Company who are salespeople.

Q: Is more than half or (>50%) of SALESPEOPLE commissioned?
e.g.
If there are 20 salespeople in company XYZ, is atleast 11(>(50% of 20) or >(1/2*20=10)) salespeople commissioned?
1. number(Salespeople) > number(Non-salespeople)
Say, there are 100 people in XYZ company atleast 51 are SALESPEOPLE.
This does not tell us anything about the number of commissioned salespeople. Commissioned salespeople can be 50(>=27) or 10(<27). INSUFFICIENT(Ruled out A and D)
2. % of (commissioned salespeople) > % of (salespeople)
RHS; % of salespeople is not known. It can be <50 or >50. INSUFFICIENT. ( Ruled out B)
Putting together both statements now;
Statement 1: We know the minimum % of salespeople. It is >50%. Meaning thereby there are more than half of the employees, who are salespeople.
Combining 2: We know that percentage of "commissioned salespeople" > % of (salespeople) or (>50%) or (>half).
e.g.
100 employee:
At least 51 salespeople.
% of (commissioned salespeople) > (50% of 51) or (>25.5) or (>= 26). We know that majority of salespeople are indeed commissioned.
Thus both statements together is sufficient. "C"
e.g.

I would first try and understand the structure.
Emp ----> Sp, Nsp (Employees split into 2 mutually exclusive, exhaustive groups)
Sp ----> Com, NCom (Salespeople split into 2 mutually exclusive, exhaustive groups)
Say Emp = 100
Are the majority of salespeople employed by XYZ Company commissioned?
Are Com > NCom? or is Com/Sp > 50%?
1. The number of salespeople employed by XYZ Company exceeds the number of employees at XYZ Company who are not salespeople.
Sp > Nsp or we can say Sp/Emp > 50%
(e.g. 60 > 40 or 51>49 etc. Nothing about Com, NCom) Not Sufficient
2. The percentage of XYZ Company's salespeople who are commissioned exceeds the percentage of employees at XYZ Company who are salespeople.
Com/Sp > Sp/Emp
No information about Sp/Emp yet. Not sufficient.
Taking both together, Com/Sp > Sp/Emp > 50%. Sufficient.
