To add a bit more about this competition and summarize a bit: 80 Questions Around the World was the MOST Popular and Most-participated and most competitive event we have ever had. Over 2,200 people have joined the competition. For comparison, in 2019, the first year we ran this event, 1,100 people joined. In 2021, we had 1,700 people join, and then in 2022, last year, we only had about 1,100, quite a decline, so it was surprising and encouraging to see a strong showing this year. Thank you everyone who has joined and make this more fun! A total of 617,460 points were earned and a total of 6,952 explanations were posted to 80 questions. That's 87 explanations per question 💪 ... Poor moderators A total of 578,916 timers were taken during the 2 weeks of the competition (July 17 - 28, 2023). That's over half a million timers in 2 weeks! The top points contender, Obscurus, earned 10,390 points out of 11,000 possible max points, representing 94% completion, indicating the challenge and difficulty of the competition The winning team was Indiana Jones with 11 out of 26 prize-earning members. Congratulations to everyone who participated and esp the winners, but I hope everyone won and learned a bit more and got a bit stronger and more prepared for the GMAT. These questions were hard! Hi. No mysteries. Sorry if I missed a comment about priority. Let me know and I’m happy to address. See if this is related to priority for 26 prizes from sponsors, the priorities based on personal choice and ranking. Everyone will get the prize they want from the pool of available prices by the time it’s time toward them a prize. This is probably a bit complicated but read it a few times and hopefully it’s making sense 😬 (we have run this competition about seven times and this is how we handle prize distribution. It seems to work well).

PS. Next Tuesday I’m going to post the list of 26 winners and their points and who gets what so everyone can see and everyone feels it’s fair.

Are you suggesting that the winning team should only win quizzes and tests and forfeit courses and other prizes? That’s a pretty novel idea and an interesting way to treat the winners… you have many friends left? 😂

well, that is not going to happen.

Think about it as individual prizes and team prizes. The statement about prizes only refers to individual prizes because otherwise, they already have received quizzes and tests, and we already broke that rule 😱

To add a bit more about this competition and summarize a bit:

80 Questions Around the World was the MOST Popular and Most-participated and most competitive event we have ever had. Over 2,200 people have joined the competition. For comparison, in 2019, the first year we ran this event, 1,100 people joined. In 2021, we had 1,700 people join, and then in 2022, last year, we only had about 1,100, quite a decline, so it was surprising and encouraging to see a strong showing this year. Thank you everyone who has joined and make this more fun!
A total of 617,460 points were earned and a total of 6,952 explanations were posted to 80 questions. That's 87 explanations per question 💪 ... Poor moderators
A total of 578,916 timers were taken during the 2 weeks of the competition (July 17 - 28, 2023). That's over half a million timers in 2 weeks!
The top points contender, Obscurus, earned 10,390 points out of 11,000 possible max points, representing 94% completion, indicating the challenge and difficulty of the competition
The winning team was Indiana Jones with 11 out of 26 prize-earning members.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and esp the winners, but I hope everyone won and learned a bit more and got a bit stronger and more prepared for the GMAT. These questions were hard! You can see that even the best person only earned 94% of all max points, so no matter what your rank is, the value is going to come in on the GMAT day.
