Hi Nipunh,
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, it looks promising and well-rounded. Your academic track is strong, especially with your CGPA from DTU, which will be well-regarded across Indian and global schools. Your blend of market research consulting with high-impact clients like YouTube and Meta, followed by mission-driven work in the NGO space, gives you a unique edge that adcoms at schools like ISB, INSEAD, and LBS will appreciate.

Your cross-sector exposure, digital strategy experience, and on-ground leadership at an NGO position you well for a pivot into either consulting or product roles, particularly at schools that value versatility, social impact, and global awareness. That said, your target GMAT score looks very strong, it would significantly strengthen your case for both admission and financial aid at your target schools.

Can you talk more about how you are planning to connect your NGO and tech strategy background to your post-MBA goals in consulting or product?

Also, to help sharpen your positioning across platforms, ARINGO is offering a free LinkedIn profile optimization, which can help you better align your story for both adcoms and recruiters.

I’d also be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target MBA programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.

Sure, at the NGO, I lead a zero-cost social impact initiative that leverages existing community networks to deliver meaningful services like free skill-building workshops and job assistance in garment factories for women. In another initiative we take workshops teaching senior women to independently use their mobile phones/apps and not depend on others for basic support. By applying my market research background, I identify unmet grassroots needs, design pilot interventions with measurable outcomes, and refine them using data-driven feedback. My tech-sector exposure ensures scalable, low-friction delivery models. In essence, the NGO sits at the intersection of insight-driven problem-solving and community-led empowerment.

In my earlier role, I was working with and mentoring a team of trainees and helping them come up to speed with the standard practices. I really enjoyed mentoring and guiding them. My seniors had high regard for me for this and were pleasantly surprised by my leadership acumen... I wanted to double down on my strengths. When I transitioned into NGO, I thought of it as my bootcamp in leadership, meeting new people, bringing in and mentoring student volunteers, and guiding them with my perspective and experiences. In an unpaid setting, managing the attrition rate for my program comes from leadership that is both empathetic and focused in its objectives and executions.

In my applications, I am planning to showcase my resilience backed by empathy-based leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills in a constrained environment. Solving real-world grassroots-level problems one initiative at a time. I believe these experiences will help me in product/consulting roles.

Greetings, I am Saadia Mazhar from Pakistan. I had done my MBA here in Pakistan and graduated in 2016. I got married in 2017. I work from home, providing business consultancy to local clients, and content writing services for multiple local and international clients. I have been looking after my 3 kids and other home related responsibilities for many years. Now, my passion for acquiring higher education is boosting my confidence to apply for PHD programs because I have done MBA with thesis which is equivalent to MS here in Pakistan. The tenure was 3.5 years. Overall, my education is 18 years which is suitable to apply for PHD program. My keen interest is to apply in good universities in the US and Canada within a year.

I will be attempting GMAT test very soon. Despite having three kids and growing challenges, as a mother, I dont want to give up on my dreams and passion.

I will need your guidance on following aspects.
1. How to boost my confidence to not worry about challenges I may face abroad?
2. Will following my culture offer me flexibility? I can coexist with peaceful people of all communities.
3. Will I be able to provide good schooling future to my kids?
4. Will I be able to get a fully funded scholarship from a good university and spouse visa?

Here are some of my key achievements
1. Provided an online session to IEEE Comsats Islamabad on Women in Tech (online)
2. 1 out of 3 jury members for IEEE Comsats Islamabad PES Essay Writing Competition (Online evaluation)
3. Provided a session talk as guest speaker on Work life balance and women in technology to PNY Trainings/PNY Pink (featured among trainer of the month list of people for August 2020) (online)
4. Provided a talk on success story of Writerbay to Erozgaar Program for University of Agriculture Faisalabad (online)
5. Provided a paid consultation session to Aspire Training and Consulting on "The Art of Freelancing" (online)
6. Provided a workshop to Women in Engineering department of IEEE UET Taxilla (online)
7. Featured twice in videos for Beaconhouse BOSS (BSS Old Students Society) for independence day and women day messages (available online)
8. Featured as a successful alumina by The Spectacle magazine of The University of Lahore (I graduated from this university) (available online too)
9. Featured among the top freelancers in "extraordinary freelancers of Pakistan 2021 coffee book" by Pakistan Software Export Board (Exclusive access to their specialized forum whatsapp communication group) (available online too)
10. Podcast interview by Beaconhouse Old Students Society (Beaconhouse Head Office, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan) (uploaded online)
11. Featured among "Our Alumni Our Pride Wall of Fame" on wall, 2nd Floor, Lahore Business School, University of Lahore, Defense Road Campus, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan (on-site)
12. Featured in case study on me and my startup Torque 360 published by PHD scholars in Islamic International University Journal of Management (available online)

I know these achievements may not sound so big as many amazing people here have, just that I wanted to keep improving my skills and polish them. Your kind consideration of my profile and close responses to my queries will boost my confidence and elevate my responsiveness because I am kinesthetic in nature. I need a proper direction to avoid taking decisions that I shouldnt regret later. Also, time is money, so I want to think solid about me and my family future as well as my goals.

Regards,
SM

Let me add, I got 3.31/4 CGPA in MBA HR (3.5 years with thesis), 56% in my BCOM IT (2 years), 55% in FSc Premedical (intermediate of 2 years), 87% in Matriculation in Science. My loss of grades in Fsc and Bcom was due to loss of my parents which caused severe mental breakdown.

Hi,
Let me start with your second question. Round 2 can work very well, and better than R1 if you can push your GMAT score higher or make a few profile upgrades before applying. (or in other words R2 + 20 GMAT points >R1...)

A ~650 GMAT Focus is borderline for your target schools. With 11 years of experience, you’re also on the senior side for many EU programs, so we’d want to make sure the “why now” is strong.

Once you’ve taken the GMAT, feel free to send me your CV and score. I’ll be happy to review and give you a realistic, tailored assessment of your chances.

Thanks for your generous evaluation. Though, wanted to ask whether should I apply for R1 or R2. Considering my GFE scores are less and less time left for R1 applications.
