I am a female Senior Software Developer at Nasdaq with 2 years and 2 months of full-time work experience. I graduated from IIIT Guwahati with a B.Tech in CSE and an 8.2 CGPA in 2024. I completed two internships at Nasdaq—one summer internship after my third year and a final-semester internship—before joining full-time as a Software Developer and being promoted to Senior Software Developer in April 2026. In my current role, I have owned and deployed end-to-end modules, collaborate daily with a UK-based product team on product features, mentor a fresher, and have participated in technical interviews. I have received the Act as Owner Award 6 times, Play as a Team Award 2 times, Fuel Client Success Award once, and Drive Innovation Award once. During college, I was the coordinator of the Fine Arts Club, where I led the club and conducted events, and I was the Head of the Decoration Team for my college fest. I was also involved with the Eco and Outreach Club and the Girls Empowerment Group (GEG), through which I gave talks on girls’ safety, overcoming the trauma of harassment, and internships and career guidance. I have participated in CSR activities including sanitisation and outreach at a rural girls’ school, where I spoke to students about education and women empowerment, as well as volunteering at an animal shelter. I am planning to apply for Fall 2027 MBA programs, primarily targeting INSEAD, HEC Paris, LBS, Cambridge Judge, Oxford Saïd, ISB, NTU, NUS, and Imperial College London. I plan to take the GMAT in September 2026, targeting 675+
I think you have a good foundation for the European/Indian schools you’re targeting! Especially if you can score 675+ on the GMAT.
(we have a dedicated EU admissions team, so I suggest you reach out to me once you take the GMAT? no rush, as we can target November-January deadlines...)
in length:
The GPA is solid, and the promotion to Senior Software Developer after only 2 years is a strong point. The awards, mentoring, ownership of projects and international collaboration are AMAZING! and of course the Nasdaq reference and international team collaboration.
The main issue I see is limited full-time experience. By the time you apply, you’ll have around 2.5- years, which is on the low side for most of these programs. The promotion helps a lot, but I’d focus on showing increasing responsibility and, most importantly, measurable impact in your work.
Your extracurriculars are also useful, but I’d be careful not to simply list everything. The strongest elements are probably the leadership roles and Girls Empowerment Group work. If you have genuine stories where you made a meaningful difference, those can become valuable parts of the application.
SO, next steps
0. consider if 2027 is a must or if you can wait till 2028 to increase chances

Leadership:-
Earlier, working in the Operations team in the industrial plant, I got the opportunity to inculcate leadership qualities, amidst handling industrial relations issues, managing contract workers, and coordinating with local vendors & distributors. Now, working in the Retail sales team, I learnt the importance of CRM, increasing customer base under loyalty programs, promoting sales campaigns aggressively, and redressing grievances/ complaints from customers. Currently, I am solely responsible for handling operations of the company-owned retail outlet with annual avg. turnover of 15 million USD, and daily avg. footfall of 7,500 customers. It is one of the most rewarding experiences for me because of the skill sets that I was able to expand.
Target B Schools:-
HEC, LBS, ROSS, UCLA, CORNELL, NUS, ISB, CMU
I think you have a solid profile for the schools you’re targeting!! very realistic!
Especially if you can improve the GMAT (not clear if this is old GMAT or FE?)
I see a strong academic foundation, and then 4 years of professional experience at a Fortune 500 O&G company, which gives you a credible career progression. Your current responsibility sounds amazing!.
The main weakness is probably the GMAT (again, if this is 680 in the old GMAT / ~615 in the GMAT FE) If you can get a few additional points, it would make a meaningful difference.
I’d also work on the leadership/impact story... Managing contract workers, vendors and an operation of this scale is good, but "responsible for" is less powerful than showing what you actually changed, improved or achieved. Look for concrete numbers and examples.
1. Retake the GMAT and I’d aim for 700+ if possible.
2. Dig into your work experience and identify 3-4 strong examples of leadership, impact and initiative.
3. Talk to me for a deeper profile analysis and chances estimation, and we can also look at whether this is the right school mix for you.
