Hi guys,
I have my test on Dec 15. So I have 22-23 days in approx. I just began with Manhattan books for Quant and have been practicing GMAT Official Guide simultaneously.

Prep with Verbal section is on since a couple of weeks. I score around 8-9 (out of 16) in sentence correction, 8 (out of 12 in critical reasoning) and 10 (out of 15) in reading passages.

I have poor maths, and data sufficiency is killing me. I really need a genuine suggestion on how I can prepare in three weeks to bring up my score to 600.

Thanks!

First of all, you may want to push your test date back. With about 20 days remaining and the target of a 150 point jump, you might need more time.
You should take a full length test to figure out where you stand right now. You can try out one of our practice tests for free here:
https://www.gmatclub.com/forum/veritas-prep-resource-links-no-longer-available-399979.html#/
It gives a good indication of expected score.

At the bottom of the page is the link to one of our course books which you can access for free. That is the DS book so I am sure you will find it very useful. The sufficiency condition is discussed in detail so the problems you are facing specifically in DS will get sorted.

Hi iwonder911,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores; since you've been studying for about a month, you likely have a lot more work to do (and you would likely improve over time if you had enough of it).

In addition, you really should plan to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test sometime soon; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can talk through your options going forward.

Unfortunately, without a CAT score to use as reference, we really have no idea what your current ability 'level' is yet. IF you were at the 480 'level', then you would likely need at least another 2 months of consistent, guided study to score 600+. This is all mean to say that you should consider pushing back your Test Date. If your applications aren't due until February, then you should have plenty of time to continue studying (and improve your scores).

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Since you have very less time at your hand, you might want to look at each problem type and then try to learn concepts related to it.
I would recommend you to stick to the official questions only during these days.

SC: The questions test various concepts such as S-V agreement, modifiers, parallelism etc. Find out what troubles you.
CR: There might be certain types of questions that are troubling you. May be Assumption, may be conclusion, inference etc.
You need to find that out and then practice them
RC: This again can be drilled down into different types of questions and also different topics. See what questions and topics trouble you the most and then practice accordingly.
Quants: Again try to break the questions in topics such as Algebra, Number system (very important), Geometry, PnC etc.
