Hi Gmat Experts,

I appeared for gmat today and achieved my goal score. However, I completely bombed IR, scoring a humiliating 2. It is my lowest IR score ever, including my first practice test.

I scored 670 (q48, v35, IR6) and 680 (q45, v38, IR8) respectively in my previous two gmat attempts.

Anyhow, I'm not sure if IR score will be detrimental to my overall application? what you think?

I was hoping to apply to Insead, but think they now expect a minimum 6 in IR score. Should I attempt again?

Thanks again

Aah I wish you hadn't said INSEAD. The only school to have mentioned a minimum IR requirement. How about emailing INSEAD to ask if they are willing to consider your previous GMAT score's IR?
Good Luck !

Best,

Thanks for your response. I called them and, to my relief, they'll consider maximum across all attempts, which in my case is 8. So may not have to take another attempt but will definitely have to address such low score in optional section.

Also checking with other schools I'm interested in to understand how they view IR scores.

Thanks

That's great news buddy ! Phew ! Good luck with applications :)
