Re: Calling all Booth 2018 Applicants (Class of 2020) [#permalink]
They allowed till 28th September for recommendations to come in. Interview invites by 13th October. They obviously are just going to screen you by your GMAT and Resume. 15 days and ~2000 (guess, 50% of total) applications distributed among 20-30 admissions fellows. Stiff ask.

Any idea about the tentative date for the first wave of invites?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the first invites start rolling in next week

I read somewhere that Booth interviews typically 50% of R1 applicants. Is that true?

Hi all! Just wanted to check in. I applied round one and now I'm anxiously waiting like all of you. My biggest anxiety is that I'll get dinged just for my age (too young).

I am anxious that I will get dinged because of my age (too old). See you at Booth if we make it.

How old are you? I'm 24. But Booth is my top choice now so I'll hopefully see you there.

I’m just wondering that if HBS found a better pool of Indians to interview, then why would any of the other top schools be kinder? How does it work? Do they interview more people? Or put people like me on the WL till the better people go to H/S/W??

For overall application pool, irrespective of admission rounds, that number is slightly higher, 60%, as per our analysis of previous Booth applicants. Also post interview acceptance rate is 49%.

All previous years invites have started going out on the Monday / Tuesday rolling all the way to Friday, with dings on the Friday. Given the email said interview invites by the 13th I'm assuming the same holds this year.
