I was interviewed over Skype by Pete. It was relaxed and consisted of the usual Why MBA? Why Minnesota type questions as well some questions that required introspection. For example: What is leadership? Can you tell me a time when you had to face a conflict at work? During such questions, its best to take a moment to think, and then begin with the answer. Interviewers appreciate if you think before you answer.

Hey Guys, I have just received an interview invite(Applied for R2).Could some who have gone through the interview please tell me the basic process of it such as how long was it,what questions were asked,etc. Thanks for the help in advance.!!!

I have an interview in 18th Dec (R2 applicant). Can someone help with any tips/pointers on the interview. And if I may, what kind of questions are we supposed to ask at the end ?

Hey all, I just had my interview with Jennifer Fuhrman over skype. It lasted a about 30 mins Basic question Why MBA, Why Carlson(i think i shot myself here !!!), Goals (ST/LT), Resume walk through, why current career choice, Extempore speech on any topic (2-3) mins then Q&A

I also interviewed via Skype with Pete. We started with going through my background: why I chose my undergrad university, why I chose my major, work experience. Then we got into goals and why MBA, why Carlson, etc. After that it was behavioral questions - tell me about a time you faced an ethical dilemma, how have you handled mistakes at work, how do you decide when to step up and assume a leadership role and when to let someone else lead. Then he asked me what the one thing I couldn't live without was, and had me talk for about 2 minutes on that topic. After that, it was my turn to ask questions. I'd been to campus previously, and been in touch with another AdCom member pretty extensively so I didn't have a ton of questions, but still asked probably 5-6. Overall, it lasted around 40 minutes and was a good experience. He also replied to the email I sent him after, which I thought was really nice of him. Now the wait begins!

I checked with Christine Foster as to when the decision for R1 applicants will come out and she clearly mentioned that it will be close to the decision date mentioned on the website (15th Jan) as there has been a surge in applications this year. So I guess the wait continues, had interviewed way back in first week of November.

Hi! I just had my interview two days ago and i think it went fine. Anyone here who applied in round 2 and got an interview call? Any idea as to when we can expect a decision from them(or do they inform only on feb 15th as mentioned in the website)??

2 days ago? Are they working during the holidays also? If they are then I don't understand whats causing them to delay R1 result announcements. I know that there has been a surge in applications this season but for sure its not shot up by 200% or so..

Guys, any update regarding by when should we expect R1 decisions to be rolled out ??? Thanks in advance !

I was told that the result will be out by the deadline dates mentioned on the website. Apply by November 1 to receive a response by January 15 Apply by December 1 to receive a response by February 15 Apply by February 1 to receive a response by April 15
