I submitted R2 this morning (final day for R2) and just received my invitation to interview 15 minutes ago. Did anyone else get an invitation so soon? I highly doubt they've looked at my application yet so just wondering if this is standard practice for them.

Congrats! Did you attend the preview or diversity weekends? I was at the diversity event (female not from Minnesota), and have been in touch with one of the AdCom members since July and I was thinking maybe she got me the invite early.

Well Avalon , carlson was the one school I have been researching for about 18 months now. I know almost everything there is to know about the school. the least I could do is help out you guys with this info since it seems like the school is not going to send me the invite this time.. best of luck..

does anyone know if carlson takes-in re-applicants without interview like Olin does. I had an interview last year but this year I have not heard anything from them yet..

I had submitted my application for Carlson 2 days prior to the R2 deadline and received the application complete email on 4th Dec. Just noticed that a couple of members here have already received the interview invites as well, which has got me panicking now. rrai243 : Dude, I think you should email the Ad Com if they are considering your candidacy without an interview since you already interviewed last year. I find this statement in the application complete email very confusing: "You will be contacted about scheduling an interview if it is determined that an interview is necessary and you have not already had an interview." I mean if one does not get an invite then there is no way of knowing if its because your app is too strong or too weak. Has anyone been admitted without an interview ?
