It is very weird to see just 5 people "invited to interview" on the 1st page. I request all the invited to interview or accepted candidates to update their GMATCLUB applicant profile so that the stats on the 1st page reflect the reality.

I'm not sure if this is 100% legit, but I just refreshed my applicant page, and a new form was there "Search for an Interviewer"

I'm assuming this means I have an invite?!!!!!!!!!!

Applied - 9/23

Are you ED or RD?

I'm ED.

I only saw the applicant page update yet, so once I have the full legit e-mail in hand, I'll update my profile.

Congrats that you're invited (according to my personal experience :)) maybe you should check your "Promotions" file if you use a gmail for application. My official notification directly went to that file at first.

Gogogo Good Luck :-D

Thank you - I'm nervous it's a glitch in the system at this point! Ps. JulyAngelyingC - it's not in Promotions!

27, Female, Canadian
Sub 3.0 GPA, 730 GMAT (46Q 44V, AWA: 6, IR: 8).
I work in luxury goods, in a Strategy function.
Lot of extra-curricular's at a global level, founder of an NGO and a Social Enterprise with international recognition.
Also did HBX, passing with Honors (to mitigate the crappy GPA).

Honestly, I am as nontraditional as it gets, and I did not work with any admissions consultants etc.

Thanks for the update thepoet and good luck.
As I have submitted a week before I can finally move on with other applications. I have made many technical-rookie mistakes with my app, such as not waiving(apparently doing so is a big NO).
CBS was my first choice and I thought that I have a lot to contribute, but of course that you better feel that :]

Haha I thought about applying CBS ED as well...but I've heard how Chinese applicants abused it as a 6K insurance...As a Chinese myself (even applying in US pool), I don't want to have that wrong impression so ended up going with RD :|

Btw, is not waiving a big no? I assume you're talking about rec letters right?

Yes, waiver is for recommendation letters. Waiving the right shows that you have utmost confidence in what your recommenders are going to mention. Strangely, Kellogg specifically mentions that waiving is not going to have an impact on your application. But Wharton does mention that it is better to waive your right. Havnt seen anything similar for CBS but I would assume the same for Columbia.

I didn't waive any of my rights to see the recommendations and I'm 2/3 on interview invites so far.

That's good to hear. I didn't waive any of my rights either, but my questioning of the logic is whether waiving makes a difference or not. Sure I didn't waive it, but I can't possibly change how my recommenders have recommended me, what does it matter whether or not I can view it? (I don't plan on asking for what they wrote at all)

Good for you. As I said, different schools have different 'requirements' for opting waiver option. For schools that do not necessarily mention whether they prefer one or the other, I don't think it'll be a reason for a ding.

Completely agree. My point is no one should worry about whether or not they waived their right to see their recommendations. It won't matter.

For those who have interviewed, how do you find out when the interviewer has submitted feedback or not?

If your interviewer submits your interview report, your will receive a "status change notification" email from CBS

and then you can log into your application page. It's almost like the process you receive the interview notification.

Hope it helps~~~~

I highly doubt that not waiving (or any other "mistake" of that kind) results in a ding by itself.
The only thing it does is seating in your head while you wait - So make sure everything is in order by your standards before submitting.
I am satisfied with my application and I am more experienced for the next one  . Good luck y'all.
