Anybody have any insight into the Distinguished Fellows program? I've been trying to research the fellowship, but the criteria on the Booth website seem a bit general.

Hope to see you all at First Day!

I haven't learned anything more but it's one of the things I'm eager to learn about more at First Day!! Speaking of that, has anyone been able to successfully log into the app for First Day? Supposed to have gone live yesterday but the password they gave me hasn't worked (tried several times to have a new one re-sent).

Has anyone completed their background check or sent their transcripts yet? I committed a couple of days ago and haven't gotten anything from ReVera to start the process.

Thanks! It was a tough decision for me, but it really came down to funding and location (not a big fan of Evanston).

fatmike First Day was great! Tons of fun activities planned and I loved meeting future classmates. Also got to do a bit of exploring/apartment-hunting downtown since Saturday wasn't as packed. Hope you get to experience it for yourself in April!

coltaylo94 congrats on accepting the offer!! I accepted mine too on Tuesday. I feel like I must've met you at First Day but there were TONS of double admits considering Kellogg too so maybe not.

I haven't gotten any more info in the two days since about background check but eagerly looking out for it.

wabo22 Congrats to you as well! I feel like I met a ton of people this weekend so it's totally possible that we met. Feel free to PM me if you want to "reveal yourself" haha.

And glad to hear I'm not the only one waiting...I'm a little confused because the commitment form implied that Booth handles background checks in-house since we had to sign a consent form for them to conduct it, but the admitted students site says that they're handled by ReVera. Didn't know if people who committed before this week had already started the process.

From what I saw on the admitted student website, Booth specified that "Background investigations are conducted by Re Vera Services after your admission to the program." I haven't been given any instructions on how to proceed with the background check either. But I think it will be completed by March 27, 2020, which is the deadline for official transcripts and employment verification etc.

They sometimes forget to share the ReVera link so it’s fair to write to Admissions and ask them about the verification process if you’re R1 and haven’t heard anything from ReVera yet

JTSun I saw that but was confused by this part of the offer acceptance form:

Quote:
Our verification process is conducted internally, primarily by our Admissions staff, and the process typically involves confirming the accuracy of all college and university transcripts and test scores; contacting your previous employers or Human Resources departments to verify your past employment, including salary, title and dates of employment; and contacting the individuals who provided a letter of recommendation for you.

Ohh now as I check back my admission response form I saw that paragraph. I am confused too lol! But I don't think it matters that much who conducts the investigation. I just hope that it is done before I leave my job haha!

R2 admits and WL admits I am assuming will have to pay the full 3K deposit in early april. R1 admits will pay the remaining 1K by this date as well.

So, it’s $3,000, not $2,000?

fatmike sorry I was unclear. There were 2 deposit deadlines for R1 admits: one $2,000 deposit due on 2/5 and one $1,000 deposit due on 4/22. All R2/R3 admits pay only one $3,000 deposit on 4/22 and 6/3, respectively.
