I think if you can tell them about the clubs you're interested in, list a few leadership roles you want to take on, and explain how you will use your unique background to benefit your classmates, you've got a pretty good answer.

During my interview, I talked about the clubs I wanted to join, and mentioned that I had spoken with officers of these clubs about elections and leadership positions.

I tied my work experience into ways I could help my core group members.

I also mentioned that current students had all been very helpful, and that I looked forward to the opportunity to help out next year's round of prospectives.

Thanks for the advice! AMBA applicant here. I submitted my application on 11/17 and went under review on 12/10. I got my invite on 1/23 and will be heading to Ithaca next Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

How many of you rented a car in Ithaca?

I'm staying at the Best Western and they claim to have airport & campus shuttle services. For those of you that have already visited Cornell did any of you take advantage of the shuttle services of the hotels in the area?

I don't know if I should rent a car for this trip since it may not be necessary and I've never driven in snow in my life!

i'd recommend renting a car...i brought my own car and traveled w/ my gf, made an awesome weekend trip of the whole affair. you should definitely venture off campus and see the sights.

I did use Best Western's shuttle service and it was the best - those guys are so prompt and nice. Infact two times they picked me and dropped me to random places - one from Starbucks at downtown...the other time I wanted to go and try some restaurant before going to the airport. They actually dropped me there and picked me up after half hour for the airport. Amazing!!!

Paid my $1500 deposit. Still have a Haas WL Interview to do in a couple weeks and Kellogg R2 Off-Campus interview to do, but with $15K/year scholarship, I'm pretty sure I'll be in Ithaca next year =)

Do we have a number on how many people who have been accepted at R1 are planning to matriculate as well? This could give us an indication of what are the chances of waitlisted candidates and R2 candidates perhaps?

It's happening at most schools. Off the top of my head I think I've heard of Tuck, Ross, Haas, Harvard reporting R2 declines in addition to Johnson. Check out this thread: 103-t75057
