No. For deferred, the deadline for international applicants is April 2024. Look up Darden’s website.

Hi,
I this is Indian Male candidate and i got 760 Gmat score with 4+Years work experience in Oil and Gas Industry. I've been working in a public sector company in India. I've been working in different functions like supply and distribution, Planning, Maintenance and Sales departments. apart from my professional experience I've been a national athlete during my schooling and started many sports clubs and been mentoring some of the athletes till date. I need help in which MBA 2YR schools in USA I can aim for with my score and experience? Also being a reapplicant I want to keep my schools realistic this time. Kindly help.. Thankyou

Ah, where is my manner? Allow me to introduce myself. Vietnam is where I come from. I have five years of experience in the hotel industry, having held management positions in departments such as sales, marketing, and revenue from boutique to international hotels. I just want to do anything in my power to exceed my customer's expectations and see them in awe. I want to use my MBA to pivot into hospitality consulting while expanding my expertise from hotel to a bigger spectrum - restaurant, tourism, airlines, and cruise lines. In my free time, you can find me either kayaking or practicing my nun-chuck on my rooftop. I'm also a devoted fan of egg-fried rice.

Excellent question! Darden and Fuqua are the two B-schools I know that offer Early Action/Early Decision. In general, I think your question can expand to all b-schools, not just Darden: Which round is the best for me? There is a simple answer for that: as early as possible, if, and only if, you feel you can't improve your application anymore. In other words, you are ready. Do not rush through the application just to make the deadline. Schools also specifically stated that R1 and R2 make no difference, although I wouldn't wait too late as to wait for R3, especially if you're an international student.
In your specific case, Darden, if you are totally ready and done with your application, and Darden is your dream school, then go for EA. That will show them your commitment to the school. If you feel as though you still need some more improvement and will not be 100% ready for the EA, go for R1. I'd say your offer chance will more likely be higher in the EA, considering that your application is done to the best of your ability. Why wait for R1 when you can apply in ED right? Regarding scholarship, I'd say that it is based on the strength of your profile. If you're international, a merit-based scholarship will probably be your default scholarship, and the scholarship amount you will get will depend on many factors: how much the school wants you to go there (if you are admitted), whether are you a minority, how are your stats comparing to other profiles from the same pool, etc.
In short, as long as you're ready, apply early ASAP. You should not over worry about the scholarship, because that's out of your control. The only thing you can do now is to get your application in the best shape possible.
