When I was invited to interview, there was only one date available. I called to see if there were any other dates and was told that they want all interviews completed by December 4 so that everyone can be considered for a scholarship.

I guess we can safely say it's over for R1. According to jmnxp, interviews should be done by today, so the absolute latest date they should send out invites would be yesterday.

This is ridiculous lol no invites for over 2 weeks and no dings lol

So I called darden and gave them my applicant number. they checked where my application status is and informed me it was still with the committee, whatever that means, maybe under review.

Then she said the december 16 is a decision deadline as it could be the deadline for interview decisions LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

She also said interviews could extent all the way into january.... guess I am out. this is ridiculous. and getting a nice scholaship somewhere else basically makes this useless lol adios amigo

I called and got the same message - that interviews could extend through decision deadline. Presume that means that there may some trailing interviews and decisions in Round 1.

I too think its strange how few interview invitations have been extended. Just about 40% of the GMAT Club cohort was interviewed in R1 last year. As of today, its 25% - over 37% fewer. Maybe some of that is delayed posting of status changes, but there haven't been many recent reports on the ClearAdmit Live Wire either. Not really sure what to make of it.

at least there is some hope. Does anyone know of anyone receiving an interview invite in the previous years close to the R1 decision deadline?

I think this has happened with a few schools now. I believe we may be seeing a substantial increase in applicants and many of those applicants are not on this forum.

for those that received invites this week..where do you live? how do they expect people to interview on such short notice, especially if they have to fly to Charlottesville?

Claiming the deadline is actually an "interview decision" deadline is pretty cheap, expected better.

Not sure how they plan on competing for good students when they keep this dragging on forever. Students' decision deadlines don't seem to enter their thought process at all.

IMO, Maggie clearly mentioned that DECISIONS will be out on DEC-16th. Not the Invitations. I can even see few folks in Gmatclub getting invites yesterday and are about to give their interview on or before 11th. Clearly, Final decisions( in or ding) will be out on Dec-16th

Im talking based on the info I got when calling them. The lady said a decision could ne just a decision to interview. Maybe I am wrong but we will see I suppose. Whether they are pros who can finish all the process in another four business days or jus trolls giving out vague answers to some of us will be clear.

Yeah.. what you said sounds like possible. It was clearly written in their website that invites may go beyond the decisions date fo a particular round. Few guys in this forum are saying that invites may extend till Jan. and now with me, she said all decisions will be out by 16th. Unable to decide on which one to believe.
