As a Fuqua student, let me clarify something about waitlists. It’s a numbers game, sure. But if you don’t show active interest in the school after that, then you are not increasing your probability of getting in anyway. This may hold true for other schools too but I can only speak for Fuqua. Work with your admission consultants and evaluate your gaps. You have another 6 months to improve your application.

Hi guys, if there is anyone here who got an admit after getting waitlisted in EA, could you please share tips on what you did during that period? Would it be a wise thing to reach out to the interviewer to get some feedback?

I was waitlisted in EA but got interview invite with R1 candidates 6-7 days later. Before I sent my update. Although would be happy to answer any questions. Got admitted yesterday.

Also I apologise guys, I see some of you were asking my location, but I was just stepping into an event when I got the call. Hence couldn’t get to my phone until late at night.

In case anyone still wants to know, I am from India.

Waitlist management is really difficult and definitely anxiety inducing but being calm and keeping in touch with the school is a great way to navigate through it - as Innes mentioned. First step should be to accept the WL offer on the portal. You’ll be receiving an e-mail from the AdCom asking you to register for the Waitlist Webinar. Attend that, it’s really helpful. EA waitlist webinar was conducted by Lauren Sutherland (Program Director of Admissions at Fuqua) and it was VERY detailed. Don’t e-mail the AdCom right away or send in updates hastily - take your time with it and introspect. And you should ideally club your updates. Furthermore, GMAT Club collaborated with The Red Pen for a Waitlist Management Webinar which is really helpful. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/SVCUKu3irpg

@Mods/anyone who can answer: the prompt for Essay 1 requires us to "limit your response to 2 pages (750 words maximum)". So which is it? Is it 2 pages or 750 or both? At the moment, my response is 1+0.4 pages, but words are 809. Am I good to go or must I chop down the word count?
