I have 700 GMAT score, with 8.5 years work ex in Investment Banking and Strategy roles. Already have one MBA from India (IMT Ghaziabad). Planning to apply in Round 2 for Accelerated Daytime MBA. Do I have any chance to make it considering i can apply latest by round 2 Posted from my mobile device
Score is fine for accelerated MBA. Why do you need a second one will be a bigger red flag
Difference between the competition of daytime two yr v one year is good enough.
Businessconquerer I have applied for both accelrated and FT programs. So how does it work, if we were to be selected are we given a choice or do we get our first prefernce itself? Also, would you know if we can defer joining to next year (I know some schools permit this)?
I would sincerely appreciate any inputs here. Thank you.
You are probably not gonna like this answer as much but that will really depend on the admissions team and what they want to assign you. (I would still confirm it from admissions team if they have changed anything or they are planning to do so)
Accelerated MBA makes more sense, if you were to make a logical argument as to why you must get another MBA- No, geographical mobility cannot be a reason.
I know it is way more stressful for you with the unknowns and all the variables working against you. I recommend just stay patient for now. If you mail them asking now, you will look poorly researched as they will ask- "Isn't that something you should have asked before application?"
And I'll be right here. Just like I am now, helping with scholarships and interviews. If you wanna save more money once you get in, I am your man. Happy to help. For now, I would suggest try to distract yourself with something else. Nothing you can do for now.
(Really depends on the adcom though- they may have changed things over the years, and not many people usually choose both... Speaking to them before applying would have been a better idea but that is all in the past now)
