How can I get out of the waitlist
Sorry to hear about the waitlist, but it's not a reject and there might be a chance! Engagement is key, providing meaningful updates about professional or personal achievements, maintaining thoughtful communication with the adcom, and enhancing your application by retaking tests(GMAT/GRE) or securing additional recommendations can make a difference. While the waitlist process can be uncertain, demonstrating continued interest and growth may positively influence your chances of securing a spot. Good luck!

Hi,

I am a round 2 Fuqua applicant and have received a mail stating

"The interview invitation process is highly selective, and we regret to inform you that you have not been invited to interview. Please note that this is not a final decision on your application; you will receive your final admission decision on March 19, 2021. Your application remains under review at this time."

Should I consider it as a reject by the school? If not, is there any possibility to improve my chances for an interview?

Kindly let me know

Regards

Wait until March 14. You will either receive a WL or a rejection.

I hope March 19, 2021 was a typo from your end. If not, the mail could be an error and you can check with them.

Assuming it actually stated March 14, you could get waitlisted/rejected now.
Try to send some updates, if possible, in the next week. Fuqua puts a lot of emphasis on yield. If they feel that they are your first choice, your chances improve drastically.

Since this is not a final rejection and your application is still under review, there is a chance you could be waitlisted. To improve your chances, you can share any recent achievements, such as a promotion, leading a new project, or a higher test score. This helps show your continued interest, but keep your update brief and relevant. At the same time, it’s a good idea to explore other options, including applying to different schools with a stronger application. The final decision release date is March 14, 2025, as per the official website. Good luck Satnamn

According to this old GMAT Club post it’s about 60%. Data is a few years old though.

I think at that time Fuqua had guaranteed interview for EA. So this cycle, interview to conversion should be slightly higher.

Great point. This is Fuqua’s first year without open interviews for early rounds applicants.

I’m a latecomer who just submitted my application in R3 a couple of days ago. For those who applied in R2, how long did it take for you to receive an interview invite after submission? Thank you & best of luck to everyone!
