Hey all -0- just curious to hear about some admits and students what theyve seen for housing. How much are the dorms a month / a year? If you go dorm where do you store all your stuff and furniture?! lol what about for off campus houses and the like?

Sorry to hear so many rejects.
Has any Indian been admitted?

I have an interesting thought on applying early to the top 10-15 colleges in R1 or EA.

I find that the decision to admit or reject is actually unfavorable to those applying early.

Sometimes the yield drops significantly in earlier rounds and some not so great applicants are then not only invited but are selected in the later rounds.

I found this after browsing forums of last year and found that people who have been dinged at colleges ranked lower were admitted to better ranked colleges in R2 or R3.
There could be various reasons for this like applicants writing better essays for schools after gettibg dinged by few schools, but the advantage of applying early is an overstated and over emphasized phenomenon.

Has anyone of the waitlisted candidate receive any communication from adcomm. I was waitlisted in EA and I have confirmed to stay in the Active list of waitlist candidates. Received an auto mail reply from Tuck. Not sure when an adcomm member will be assigned to guide my case.

Dbanerj - I received the same automatic email. No communication from ad-com yet. The automated reply says that the WL applications will be reevaluated in June-July. But, in the decision letter through the online system, it was written that WL applications can be reevaluated anytime. Are there any WL candidates from past Tuck batches on this forum who can enlighten us on the WL process?

Thanks aarmo..going by the posts from last year regarding WL candidates, there is no clear picture of the process. It is more difficult for international candidates like us as we need to arrange for VIsa and loans asap.

Hi guys. I realize many of you just got decisions and are still recovering from the shock of those (whether good or bad), but permit me to ask a question related to round 2 applications:

I am applying in January, and scheduled a visit + interview for after the deadline. Will it look bad to not have visited prior to the deadline though? I'm actually off next week and have availability to take a trip, but on the events page there is nothing going on next week. Would there by any value in driving up to campus and trying to coordinate my own visit, or will it be completely dead up there due to the holidays? Would be curious to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!

I would make sure that your interview will be considered since it's after the deadline. I'm sure it will but it's best to double-check.

Hey guys who received R1 interview invitation, have you sent email for skype interview schedule?
I received the invitation on Dec 06 and sent email on Dec 14, but no response...
Some friends sent later than me received a confirmation letter soon that a Tuck person will be allocated within 48 hours. I sent an email again but still no reply...
Is there anyone in the same situation?

I also applied in Jan round last year and interviewed well past the deadline. I am sure it's fine. As for visiting next week, there aren't many people on campus so you probably won't find the visit useful.

Yes. I was in the same situation. Try calling up the phone number on the Tuck Admissions page. I called them up and received the interview invite the next day. I guess not many people are available as it is the holiday season.
