After careful consideration of your application materials, we would like to get to know you better. This is our invitation to interview.

Take a moment and exhale. Then keep reading.

Now, on to the details. Here’s what you need to know.

How do I sign up for an interview?

Our online scheduling system will go live on Tuesday, January 29 at 12:00 noon (ET). You will be able to register for a specific interview slot at that time (no earlier!). The system will be open until Thursday, January 31 at 9:00 AM (ET).

Signing up for an interview slot is easy. All you need to do is log in to your HBS application any time after 12:00 noon (ET) on January 29. You’ll see that your status has been updated; click "View Update" to reach the schedule. Note that you won’t receive any emails from us prompting you to register - just log in!

Please note that all of our interview slots fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to be prompt in selecting your slot.

In addition, you are invited to participate in AlumniChat, an opportunity for candidates to connect with alumni to learn more about HBS from our graduates. Participating in this program is completely optional and will not impact your admissions decision; this is not part of the admissions evaluation process. To opt-in to AlumniChat, please click here. The deadline to opt-in is 12 noon ET on Friday, February 1. We hope you will take advantage of this—our alums are eager to talk to you.

When and where do interviews take place?

We conduct interviews on campus and all over the world. We even do some via Skype. It doesn’t matter where or how you choose to interview with us - all interviews are conducted by a member of the MBA Admissions Board. In addition to the interviews, we have many events planned both on and off campus specifically for interviewees. These are also noted on our Interview Information pages. Sign up for as many of the events as you wish!

Well, I doubt that. This is what the admissions blog says: Jan 28 at noon Eastern time: the “first wave” of interview invitations is available via your Application Status page. This is approximately 2/3 of the total interviews.
So, if we were to believe that the invites went out as planned, very few have actually reported the invites. Maybe ecstasy has got the better of invited peeps and they are still drooling over the invite

I will chime in here. I was shocked to receive an invite. You can see by my stats that I am basically average for stats, although I do have an entrepreneurial background so perhaps that set me apart.
