Heyy
Anyone having some idea as how military veterans profile and experience fare in the admissions process.
A really good profile and a good way to put it.
But will a mediocre gmat (690) push through?

Any suggestions!!

I would say check on the gmatclub marketplace page to see what consultants are on there. The best for you would totally depend on what type of service you are looking for and the price range as well. You can set up free consultations to get a better understanding of different advisors and how they cater to you. At this point, if you’re looking for R1, I would suggest hourly consultations as it’s very close to the deadline to do comprehensive packages. If you’re looking for R2 and beyond then you can check other services that they have as well

Has anyone done the HBS Online CORe? If so, what does the “transcript” look like at the end? Does it only display the quiz/exam grades or does it also display grades for activities within the modules? Thanks.

For a crestfallen GPA at the undergraduate level, a couple of things you can do to optimize your chances of admission:
1. Do try to crush GMAT/GRE with a score of no less than 725+ or even better. That will offset your disappointing undergrad GPA.
2: Almost every school has reserved an optional essay. Through a to-the-point and succinct narrative, try to address this liability as to why your GPA is low.
3. Trawl down a couple of online business-related courses on Coursera and edX. Most of the courses are the self-paced. Do pursue a couple of them.
This approach will, to a certain extent, alleviate the problem of having a low GPA in undergrad.

Does hbs care about demonstrated interest?

B schools care about it but because people often decide to apply with a different email address at the very end, the statistics I’ve heard is that around 30% of applicants for an average school end up completely untraceable.

And the admission director who told me about it, said they had absolutely zero records of these people ever being interested and would seem like they applied out of a blue. However, because it’s such a sizable proportion, they do take them pretty seriously. And because this may be loyal and engaged applicants, lack of tracking or history may not indicate lack of commitment.

PS. For HBS, there’s probably even more reasons to believe they don’t need to ask for your loyalty. They know they have it 😂

Good idea though honestly not sure what weight it carries. It seems important but then if they see someone they like, they don't care that you watched every one of their webinars with teary eyes.
