I am not sure if declining this year and again trying next year would help his case. I don't think it would go down well with admissions if you first decline what they offered and then you apply again. If you mean deferral then not sure if they allow you to apply for scholarship next year.

you have a point, to be fair, best course of action, wouldn't be to ask on this forum, but ask his admissions associate director.
if he has the application ongoing, he should be in contact with somebody:
- lay out the issue, and ask for input
they are in the best position to tell you what to do in your situation.

Since there is no separate group for IESE YTP, has anyone in this group applied for it . I had applied during the last week of December but there is no reply from them till now. So, I just want to know whether there are more applicants?
