what is the assessment day exactly?

Hello, I am a R1 admitted applicant and my heart goes out to all R2 waiting for interview decisions. I thought it may be timely for me to share the interview questions I remember receiving. For context I am an Human Resource Project Consultant. It was really conversational and luckily the admission director had experience with shared services so she knew about my work and was able to dig deeper. Below are the questions I recall: - tell me about yourself - why would you want to leave HR? What are your short and long term goals? - do you want to stay in operational HR? What companies are you interested in? - further discussion about My Hr shared service experience like why did we choose these countries to centralize in them? What did your team look like to build the shared services? What’s my thoughts on hr shared services? Do all my countries service catalogues look the same? Etc. - tell me more about the Medical assistant short term task force (part of my resume) -tell me the other schools you applied for and what can you learn from IESE that you can’t get anywhere else - tell me about a time that you seriously screwed up - how do you hope to have changed 4 years from now Good luck!

My assessment day was online. It was very much like an open day, so I suggest attending one of those if possible. That being said I hear assessment days are all different and they can sometimes change up the format of them so my experience may be irrelevant to yours. Essentially we were given a case to review a week or so beforehand, then the day was basically like a class where a professor review high level and showed discussion questions before we broke out into about 5 person teams where an admissions person would be to watch how we interact and we come back together as a large group to discuss. It was hard for everyone to get to participate given time but that’s why there be a person observing your group discussion to see how you interact as a team. Word of advise, listening is just as important as talking. Show up as someone you would want on your team. Posted from my mobile device
