Hey guys,
I started drafting the essays for the application and was wondering if there are any who are targeting the early decision round which is due Sep 4th. Also I couldn't find essay prompt analysis anywhere yet, so wondering if anyone has made any progress.
There are the below two questions in the prompt. Wondering what the school is expecting from the first question.
Essay Question I: How do you expect to be changed by your experience at IESE and what impact you would like to make after your MBA? (word limit 300 max)
Essay Question II: What are your short and medium term post MBA career goals and how will IESE help you achieve them? (word limit 300 max)
You should have gotten an emailing detailing the dresscode (at least for the Barcelona AD) As to preparation (again, for the Barcelona AD), read the case, understand the logic and make a decision, take notes, and bring them to the AD. No matter what approach you take, try to get your conclusions/findings/whatever solid by considering all options.
Just curious to hear about who here is currently applying/planning to apply, what round etc. I'm sure there's more than 4 people (considering there were 38 people at the Assessment day in Barcelona, I know this is a fact)
so: introduce yourself, and lets keep this conversation going!
Assessment day was interesting. Ahead of time we got a case to prepare. then on the day itself, we first discussed the case with our teammembers, followed by a class discussion. then we went into our groups again and did a roleplay, which was interesting, particularly because i got a role that was completely against my character... after that we had a class discussion again followed by a networking drink.
all in all a very fun and exciting day, and because of the format you're more nervous afterwards than during, since you don't really know what they look for...
There were 28 people at the Assessment day in Barcelona.

I cannot share a collective voice on behalf of the others. But it was quite an interesting event as they emulated a typical class at IESE. What is difficult to point out is what traits were they looking for amongst the potential candidates. Overall the experience was very nice, intense and of course enjoyable.

You’re right ofcourse... typo How did everyone’s AD go?
I'm glad to inform I've received the call this morning: I have been accepted for the intake of 2019!!!
now i can really be the IESE threadmaster (would have been a bit silly to be it after being rejected ^^)
edit: to keep the nerves down: i was the first call on my Adcom list, and i don't know how many calls they do per day, so hang in there, i'm sure you'll hear something soon remember to keep breathing and DON'T PANIC (notice these large friendly letters)
Congratulations. I got a call today as well notifying me the same.
