I see that the R1 deadline is on August 7th, 2025. I'm yet to appear for my GMAT and was planning to take the exam in the last weekend of July. Would that leave me with enough time to apply for the program, considering I would need to work on my applications and recommendations and everything else? What are the other things I should be keeping in mind for the application process, which might be time and effort consuming, so that I can plan accordingly?
Hi,
Thank you for your query. It is indeed tough to manage so many things together.
To begin with, you won't need a separate CV to prepare for IIMB. In the form itself you have to enter your roles and responsibilities and work accomplishments in 200 words for each job. So, you can start jotting down those pointers whenever time permits.
A 600-words SOP with no specific essay needs to be submitted that will take time to think and structure to cover your past, present, and future to EPGP.
Two LoR you need to trigger from the application portal itself, and you won't be able to submit the application unless LoRs are submitted by your recommenders. So, you can plan accordingly if you want to go with R1 only.
LoR Questions:
1. How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity?
2. According to you, what are applicant's key strengths?
3. According to you, what are applicant's major weaknesses?
However, if you believe you'd be able to put forward a strong application if you apply in R2, then apply in R2. A strong application in R2 is much better than a rushed R1 application.
And all the best for your GMAT. Aim for a 645+ score (equivalent to 700 of GMAT classic version) as the average for IIMB EPGP is around 690 of classic version.
Hope this helps!
