Hi,
I have a question to all the successful applicants.
I am trying to align my profile based on my post MBA goals and also to increase my chances of getting into Bschools.
I have a career gap of 8 months and now that I have two offers, I want to know which way to go.
My post MBA goal is to join MBB and to become a Consultant. (Preferably Strategy)
1st offer - Social Consultant (ESG), with a new Indian business services firm. This role is attractive because the firm is a start up and expanding faster internationally. Also, being a consultant will help me post MBA.
2nd offer - Program Manager with an international organisation. This role is attractive because it will give me opportunity to work in Asia and MENA. (Also might be a leadership role).
I understand this is not the right question to ask in this platform, but I want some insights.
Further info -
Current GMAT score -690, Target - 730+.
Regards,
Hey, I suggest you go with program manager option because getting into strategy is very structured. So if you clear the assessments, interviews and personality fit, you'll get the offer. While a consulting background may help you to some extent, it does not significantly give you any edge. If you work in MBB or top 10 consulting firms pre-MBA, that surely gives you an edge post MBA.
I got into IMD, Bocconi, INSEAD and Ross. So if you need any help let me know.
