Yes, congrats Icecream! If we both end up attending, we should take on the WIB club together! Gender equality is something I am particularly passionate about too.

Hey guys!

I just had both my interviews this week. I was very impressed with the human quality of both, they seemed people really down-to-earth and who do not only did an MBA to get the next job or to make more money. It is definitely the kind of people I would love to do my MBA with!

The first one went through the typical questions but made very clear that he was more interested in my motivations than in accomplishments themselves. The second one really followed-up much more in detail, which I was not expecting but I loved it because it only made me reaffirm more my motivations. We ended up talking about Trump, nationalisms and populisms. Really interesting conversations with both about politics, growth, and life in general.

Now I believe we have at least two weeks ahead of loooong wait. I know it will be extremely difficult to get a spot but let's hope for the best!

Can't wait to meet you all and best of luck!

Btw. Congrats on your scholarship IceCream! I checked all the different ones last week and I don't meet the criteria in any! Shame!

Thank you Fredurst. And great for the interviews! Your part is done!! You can now sit tight, with fingers crossed, and see how well you stomach the long wait!!

For the scholarship, yeah that's a shame. You still will be considered for the ones that do not need essays. Also, I think you have this one: INSEAD Rémy and Verena Best Endowed Scholarship
And you can also apply for the diversity one: that one is a melting pot of many other scholarships, if I got it right.
Best of luck!

In fact on Nov 7th french women are called to cease work at 4.34pm, a protest against wage inequality. :-D

Haha - no actually I am a girl. But I am sure one of the missions of WIB is to get men involved because only then can we really make a change! That's why I am always careful to say gender equality - because guys are affected by it too and need to be change agents as well!

I've not heard of any protest yet in London but I would totally do it! Will you?

Have you seen LinkedIn's new salary tool? Wouldn't that be such a great engine for identifying the areas with the biggest pay gaps and bringing some visibility? My interviewer worked at LinkedIn... I wonder if I should ask about it :D

Haha great, always hard to spot women here, so I tend to assume everyone is male until proven otherwise  . Yes the inequality is definately on both sides but on different matters :). For the protest, I won't be doing it, I doubt my boss would like that verymuch. And right now I need to have him in my pocket .

About the linkedIn tool, great one! Never tried it. I will get a premium account to check it out. You definately should ask about it: you would have done your homework and it might turn into a great conversation.
Good luck!! :-D

Well, we already had our interview so it would be a bit of a "by the way" -- no need for a premium account - check it out here: https://www.linkedin.com/salary/

Hello folks.

I had an offer to start in Jan 17, but with the option to postpone, so I just accepted the Sep 17 offer starting in Fontainebleau.

Originally from Brazil, but from Italian origins and I've pretty much lived everywhere (Sao Paulo, Milan, NY, Tokyo, London). My background is of 7yrs in investment banking, previously NY, now in London. Happy to connect with the incoming Sep/17 intake.

All the best,
Atsbrnnnn

Ciao Atsbrnnnn! Welcome to the forum! Fingers crossed some of us will be joining you -- no one will know before a couple weeks from now. How did you get the option to postpone? An interesting case as I understood that is not usually an option.

I had a fairly unique case because of work, and the school was nice enough to accommodate my situation.

long story short : Insead mistaken names and gave me the contact of my interviewer's father, who also has done INSEAD but long time ago and didn't understand what the interview things was about, so he didn't replied to mail and calls. After some time, he forwarded my mails to his son who was in china so had not access to his mail.
Finally, the only date available for my interview was 14th of november :-)

But at least, it is schedule now
