Any of y'all already freaking out?

"no i am quite confident, i know exactly what my chances are, and i am almost sure to be accepted. I already booked my appartment in Singapor by the way" (said no one ever on this forum)

I am already freaking out since 14th october !

haha Indeed! I can't believe we will need to wait at least two weeks. I guess that it will be a good endurance test though!

Btw I noticed from last year's forum a slight greater amount of applications, or maybe less proportion is reporting here.

which is stange because i heard that due to new ranking of INSEAD MBA, there was much more application than last years..

Yeah, should just be that less people applied from the GMATCLUB univers or that more members did not update their profiles:
174 R1 last year vs 119 this year. That's a huge drop indeed.

Yeah indeed, that's what I meant. I think it shows something. Maybe good odds for some of us here.

Btw guys, it's great to have you around and be able to share feelings with people in the same position!

This discussion starts to look like a GMAT question :
considering that 174 people were on the forum in 2015 and 119 in 2016, that total number of applicant has increased by 35% what are the chances to be admitted if you have posted 15 time on the forum ?

FROM Insead Admissions Blog: Discover your Inner Entrepreneur
Entering INSEAD as a 16J Partner, I viewed the coming year as an endless stream of potential paths, but one avenue I didn’t expect to go down was towards the start-up world. However, one can say that at INSEAD there... Continue Reading →

Hey guys! I've been "stalking" this thread since I started applying, and it's finally my first time posting here. Living in Boston now, and can't wait to meet all of you on campus hopefully! I had all my interviews on Tuesday, and already freaking out now!! Can't wait till Thanksgiving to find out.... I'll probably be looking at my phone all the time in the morning by that time...

A fellow American! We'll be one of the few minorities so I hope as many of us can get in. Aside from the valley and NYC, the US network needs all the members it can get.
My interviewer was surprised I even applied. Although they approved me, they were wondering if I wasn't better suited for a US school (one even thought I should skip b-school). I think for us, the value proposition is different. I'm there for the life experience! 2 weeks of waiting is killer....

Hey! I am also American, coming from texas!

A couple quick questions:
1. Why was your interviewer surprised you applied, exactly?
2. How do you know they "approved you"? What do you mean by that?

Cheers!

1) for what i wanted to do, they thought a US school would've been better. But i've always been different :) INSEAD's been my priority since I heard of it.
2) my "good" interviewer told me outright lol; we hit it off pretty well. the other one more or less hinted it. things could still go south but I've always been a bit delusional

Maybe hopeful is a better word ;) fingers crossed. Both of mine said they thought I'd be a good fit, is that more or less the same thing?

Haha true.
Yeah they both said that. One of them just explicitly said I have their approval. That phrase made my weekend; I spent the next day looking at flights and planning my pre-MBA travels. I'm even excited for the flight lol (I'm using my points for the Singapore Suites & Lufthansa First)
