Deferring doesn’t mean denying admission, but pushing it to another year with normalcy in place. I think people could still defer to make the best use of PGP course at ISB and at the same time try for better colleges meanwhile.

US has closed its consulates from April 20-25 (for now, although they may close it for extended time depending on local situation), UK has already added India to red list. UK Universities will let students know if their programs are eligible for online study in the next few weeks. I just dont see a scenario where Indian students will defer ISB especially with such a situation
no but for admitted students they won’t let their classess delayed they make provisions for them ... Moreover US schools have made mandatory vaccination of students on campus hence US is best destination for MBA in this hard time ... India is facing toughest peak things may not be normal for quite a long ...this year might be tough for indian colleges

The same thing happened last year. But there is a rule - where they allow student visas to be processed under emergency quota. This window of emergency quota opens up only 60 days prior to the program start date. That is how so many students last year also got a visa. I am in touch with so many students who have a US admit - and they are not worried about this news. Because student visas are supposed to be prioritized. And emergency quote is yet to open up (60 day window)
