a question about essay drafting - my essays show 60-70% AI generated text on various AI detecting software, while in reality i haven’t used any AI to draft my essay. Any thoughts?

I don’t think you should be worried about it then.

Now human written is flagged as AI

And AI humaniser modified content is identified by AI as human written 😁

You have the right mix across academics, sports, unique ECs, internship and a good GMAT score. Make ISB PGP YL and LBS (I’m assuming MiM) your primary gaols. Focus on building a strong application and you should have a good chance of getting through. All the best!

Stuck between LoR options (for schools asking for 2 LoRs)

5 months back I moved to a Fortune50 company from a mid-tier consulting firm. I am not able to finalize if I should take both my LoR from my previous firm or one of them I should take from the current firm.

It’s been just 5 months into the role so not really sure if taking LoR from the new firm will add much value.

I will be taking one LoR from my project principal(for ISB also). For the 2nd option I will either take it from my consultant (with whom I worked from around 4 years) or my onshore director at the new firm

Please guide me to finalize for the 2nd option

The most important consideration should be that the chosen recommender knows you closely enough to be able to write subjective commentary that is substantiated with specific examples. If you believe that the consultant from your last organisation who worked with you for 4 years would be able to better present that commentary (compared to on-shore director at the new firm) then go for it. No point getting it from the new firm if the content of the recommendation is expected to lack depth or specificity. Hope that helps!

In the ISB Resume format, there is a lot of extra space in the header and footer. If I remove it, will they accept my resume or will it be rejected?

10th - 9.4 CGPA
12th - 90%
BBA majors in Finance and Business Analytics - 7.91 CGPA

Worked for 1 year with a US based startup and got a early promotion and performance bonus.
Worked for a Indian startup for 1.5 years and got an early promotion. still working here.

I have lead team of 4-5 people, trained professionals and have worked with CEOs in the pressure of insufficient funding.

I am a Personal branding strategist on LinkedIn with 9000 followers currently, helping COOs and CEOs with their profile. Joined 2 months back and witnessed a tremendous growth.
Was a part of Design club in college - Creative thinking and Canva professional.
Great recommendation testimonials from my college professors and my superiors and team.

Please what should I add more to the profile and my GMAT target score?

Hi Aarchi123, The Personal branding strategist on LinkedIn is the stand out part in your profile. This involves letting yourself out and innovating. Startup experience is always valued. Its not clear though that what was your role in the start up apart from leading people. The acads is decent. Overall, you should target a GMAT of 675+. That will help. Once done with GMAT, you can focus on how all that you have done in past leads to what you want to do in future. Best Wishes.

Decent academics. Non-Engg background helps. Experience with startups and fast-track promotions will be highly valued - ensure to properly articulate relevant instances from this journey in the application. Double down on the personal branding strategist aspect as this can be the differentiator. Other ECs and LOR seem good. Given your tenure is < 3 years, target a 685+ to have a strong chance at converting ISB. All the best! You already have the validation of a strong brand name from the fortune 50 company on your resume. You don’t have to get a tap or look for recommendation from that supervisor and the admissions will understand why you chose not to although you may want to clarify it than the optional comments if there is such a thing in ISB application.

So if you haven’t done much in your new position which they’re probably still no results, maybe hard for your supervisor to write you a good recommendation.

First think about which recommendation would be the best and then pick that person
