I got a email from Kellogg. They said I should submit my video essay on or before 1st Oct. or else they would review my application without this part.

idk why but im just freaking out over this video essay even though everyone says it was not too bad...

also, does Kellogg interview every person that applies? or is it only ppl that they have an interest in admitting? also, for the interview, if you don't live in the Chicago area (i live in NYC), i can interview with an alumnus in the NYC area, right? or i have to interview on campus? on my application i wrote that i wanted to interview off campus, but now i am confused as to whether i need to interview on campus or off

My impression is that they interview everyone but maybe someone else can give more insight.

As for the on/off campus interviews you can do it in NYC and you don't have to go to Chicago. After I submitted my application, I received an email that said this about off-campus interviews:

If you requested an off-campus interview, you will receive an email within four to six weeks from the Round deadline with an update regarding the status of your interview requirement.

Hey guys,

I get only one practice question and it repeats everytime I want to practice.

Do they not offer any more different practice questions?

I submitted the Video Essay too.

Was really nervous when I first did the practice questions. Did it twice and I felt the tongue was rolling. It boosted my confidence and I thought it is time to do it!

The two questions they asked were very interesting too. I luckily had the answer so I could speak from the heart and even managed to smile. Went pretty well I'd say though I er'd a couple of times.

Does anyone think answering from a professional POV rather than a personal one for the "Not-Kellogg" question is not optimal?

I'm finally done with the Video Essays too. Since there was time, I decided to bump it to the weekend when I could relax and do it in the daytime instead of at night during the week.

I think I may have psyched myself out a bit, though. I felt like I fumbled around a bit in the 2nd essay. The 60 seconds go by very quickly.

Good luck to all

Do you have to immediately answer the video essay after the practice questions or can you keep on practicing until you are ready to go into the actual question mode?

:( :( :( submitted the application for Kellogg...the video essay was so scary.
Does anyone have any take on the JD/MBA admission for the school?
Any other JD/MBA applicants out there? Let's mingle.

You can have a stab at the practice questions any number of times.

There's a separate prompt that you have to click on to begin the Video essay.
And you are warned sufficiently that you have only one go at it, which you have to acknowledge. So you can not click accidentally :D

Hope that helps.

Good luck everyone on the video essays! They cause a lot of stress up front, they'll go by very quickly and then it'll all be done!

finished my video essay!! was actually way less painful than i thought it would be!

does anyone know if we need to send official score reports to Kellogg for the application to be complete? when i took the GMATs, i didnt list Kellogg on the list of schools so they don't have a copy of my official score report. my applicant status page reads "Please note, unofficial test scores will be accepted during the review stage, however, all applicants should ensure that official test scores are sent to Kellogg for verification purposes". Does this mean i can send them whenever or I should be rushing to get these to them ASAP?

You should probably get it out of the way sooner rather than later. If I remember correctly, they asked us to upload the official score report as well if we had them. My score was "verified" before I even submitted the application

yeah you are right, I should send out the score report soon. i don't recall uploading the unofficial score report for kellogg and its not showing up in my application proof...can anyone confirm if they asked for this in the application?? also, i noticed the only GMAT scores that showed up as 'verified' for me were the ones for schools that i listed on GMAT while taking the exam.
