Calling all Kellogg Applicants (2015 Intake) Class of 2017 !

Based on everything I have seen here, I honestly think that some decisions have been made, and the remaining are being finalized right now. (Explains the movement on waiver applicants.)

My guess is that once all is said and done, the date will not be a determinant of acceptance or rejection - any given day could have both an accepted candidate and a rejected candidate.

I think there will be a final date change for everyone, perhaps early next week. That date change may be more telling than everything else we've seen.

I'm not so sure about that. My date is at 11/08 and that was the 3rd date change for me (that I am aware of). that would give us three reviews. Would they really wait over a month to make a decision on something they read so long ago?

I hope you're right! Still stuck at 11/25. Wonder if they'll fix this for R2 after reading this thread? lol

I've given up trying to read into it. I felt good about my app, so I'm hopeful. One week to go.

To clarify, his office (top liberal arts) sent out physical letters to accepted candidates. The process the week before meant checking the address on each letter with the accepted list to ensure no one from the reject pile made it in. If that's what Kellogg is doing now, that would mean the people seeing date changes could presume they were in the accepted pile.

I'm not sure that's the case though. Some of the most competitive GMATClub applicants haven't seen a date change in weeks while many "reach" candidates have seen several. It doesn't add up. Probably useless to keep speculating.

is everyone just referring to recent views on their video essay or are you guys getting date updates on the recent activity section of the application status page? I didn't do a video essay and my application status page still reads 9/17. Looking for some clarity!

Everyone is referring to the video essay date. Didn't you have to submit the video essay to complete your application?

Interesting though that when my GMAT went from a 720 to a 740, both schools told me they added the file to my application, but only Kellogg included a new entry under "GMAT score report." I sent out my update two weeks before the Yale notification date (right before Thanksgiving weekend), which probably means Yale's decisions had already been made, and admissions wouldn't consider it.

I will confirm the "pooling" theory tomorrow if my date changes again.

all this speculation has been the highlight of the waiting period...couldn't sit on the sidelines anymore...so to stoke the fire...

I think the pooling theory is interesting, but think it's pooled more by date of interview rather than final decision. looking at the regular respondents on this thread roughly half interviewed sometime in October and most saw early date changes and no recent date change (until yesterday or today). Those that interviewed in November had date changes occur after their interview and this week. Waivers seemed to see early date changes and nothing until this week. Now there are exceptions to each group, but it makes me believe the date change is tied more to when you interviewed rather than on final decision.

I do think the recent changes for everyone signal that final decision are coming through. So Good luck to everyone!

PS - there's only about 50 regular respondents on this thread (since the date speculation began), which is a very small sample of the total application pool.
