Anyone has an idea as to when off campus interview invites for those based abroad (eg: India, China etc.) roll out?

I think the invites should come out around two weeks after the Part II deadline date.

Don't know about the level of competitiveness but I attended a Kellogg admissions session in mumbai and some of the Alumns present were from the 1Y program. They said that you need to have a very strong profile & solid Biz background to be considered for the 1Y program because the school may feel you won't benefit enough from the program if you are not up to a certain level.

They said it is definitely not for Career changers more for career enhancers.

Hope this helps.

I am a career enhancer, and I am qualified accountant and have very solid background, so I believe I would qualify.

Ok. Then I have no clue because most of those attending the session were interested in the 2Y program.

Yes, I believe you would qualify..Almost all the people I've come across who went to the 1Y program had a previous 2Y MBA from somewhere else.

I had researched a bit initially regarding this program but I found that I was not eligible since they require 6-7 courses taught in the core of the first year to have been already completed by the students either during undergrad or as standalone courses..

Considering the face that you are a qualified accountant, I believe this criteria should be easy for you to satisfy..Check out the Kellogg website, it lists the requirements pretty clearly..

New message on the "Check Application Status" website confirming that my application is complete. Submitted it 10/17 and completed my interview the week prior. Next communication will be admit/deny...

All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been determined, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Application decisions may be released on or before the decision deadline, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last few weeks of the round.

Please note that applications are not necessarily reviewed in the order received, and the timing of one's decision is not an indicator of a candidate's strengths or weaknesses relative to others who applied in the same round.

I don't know a single 1Y MBA who had a previous MBA, some had advance degrees in finance or accounting. However, most were just continuing their career path. BCG is the single largest feeder into the program, a significant number of students each year are sponsored by them.

I hear you on that. A solid 6 weeks ahead to hear from Kellogg. At least the other schools break-up the anxiety with interview notifications later in the cycle.

Hey everyone,

I had my Kellogg interview recently and wanted to share the interview questions I got. Good luck to everyone!

Walk me through your resume?

Why MBA, Why Kellogg (you know)?

What will be your fit in the Kellogg community?

Have you visited Kellogg? (I had)

What did you like best about Kellogg during your visit

What was your professors name? What did you think of the students?

How would your manager describe you?

What is your most salient weakness (or something along those lines)

At Kellogg, we travel a lot...Describe to me your international travel experience and how it has shaped your world view?

What should admissions committee know about you beyond what is represented in your application and this interview?

It wasn't stressful. KNOW YOUR KELLOGG CLUBS, CLASSES and INTERNATIONAL Opportunities

Mine still hasn't gotten there.

I did my part and so did one of my interviewers, but another was travelling, ill, and generally indisposed, and submitted it a day late.
