It’s a pretty bad process, but you have to first access it from a computer and then once you are logged into slack from the computer you can create a password (specifically for slack in addition to the NetID password) and then can log into slack from iphone using password instead of email link. I still can’t access the email from my iphone but at least I can access it from the computer for now
