I just got an email with an application update, and the update is that my application is "Processed: incomplete - ready for review - unofficial"

Any ideas what this might mean? I was under the impression that they didn't need anything official unless you're admitted. Did anyone else get an email like this? No interview invite yet. This is the only email I've gotten from the school since I submitted. Should I mail in all the official stuff at this point?

I would wait a day or two to see if you get a follow up e-mail requesting information. If nothing comes, then I would e-mail the adcoms and ask what they need rather than blindly sending in a bunch of documents they may not need.

just my 2 cents

Well they've only got three different statuses, and it does say which items are official versus unofficial among the things I submitted when I look at my app (which is my transcripts). I was just under the impression that the transcripts didn't need to be official at this point. The three statuses:

Processed: complete, ready for review, official
Your application is complete and being reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

Processed: incomplete, ready for review, unofficial
One or more of your required documents are unofficial. Your application has been forwarded to review. Official documents are required if you are admitted and prior to matriculating into the program.

Processed: incomplete, not ready for review
Your application is incomplete and not being reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

Never mind. Just clicked back a few pages, and it sounds like some R1s got this same update. Nothing to worry over. :-) Thanks for responding!

I received an invitation for Georgetown MBA reception.
Admissions director, admitted students, alumni and prospective students like me will be attending the reception.
What should be the dress code for this occasion?

I received an interview invitation a few minutes ago! Unfortunately, every on-campus or Skype slot is full. I'd prefer on-campus since I live less than an hour away. I'm guessing there will be more slots that open up in the coming days? Do I need to email anyone or should I just sit tight and wait?

You could always e-mail your admissions advisor to ask about it. Since you live an hour away it doesn't make any sense to interview off campus.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your message. As stated in your invitation e-mail, we will be opening additional interview slots (including on-campus appointments) over the next few weeks. Please continue to check our registration website to find an appointment that works with your schedule.
If you have any further questions or issues with scheduling, please let me know.
-------------------------------

I still registered for the off campus one as I want to get it done ASAP.

Guess I'll just have to wait! Because I'm so close, the off-campus options are all >3 hours away. For someone who lives so close, they probably expect me to come to campus. The Skype options are all full too, so they've got to be opening more slots soon or they wouldn't still be sending invites I guess.

When/where is your interview?

So a spot opened up for this Friday morning and I rushed to secure it. Not an ideal situation, but I am leaving the country soon and I won't be back until the end of March, and I really didn't want to do a Skype interview. So the timing was perfect.

They don't do those Experience Georgetown campus visits on Fridays though, so I'm bummed I can't make it one of those. Did anyone else do an Experience Georgetown day when you went to interview?

Hey Guys. I applied to R2. and everything was fine. I was interviewed Jan, 21.
Today I received an email "At this time your application remains “incomplete – not ready for review.” to submit Diploma copy.
is there anyone who received same email? does this mean my app will be considered for next round?

Honestly, when this stuff happens I suggest you e-mail the admissions advisor. It doesn't necessarily mean that your application will be pushed off to the next round - that is quite a ways away after all - e-mail the advisor and ask. That's their job after all. :-D

I received the same email, and I asked.
basically you have nothing to do now besides waiting for the final decision, then you will be required to submit official GMAT score and official transcript once admitted (hence the "incomplete")

you're fine. good luck!

I agree with Pullo on this one. There are only three status updates that they list on the update page, and the one Zak got indicates that his application is not being reviewed. Seems odd since you have already been interviewed, so you should email your adviser as your update sounds like it contradicts that fact that you've been interviewed.

These are the three different updates...
