I wouldn't say that just yet. If you look at the Application tracker on the index page, McDonough invited at least one GC member on Friday, and it looks like some interviews took place then, too.

The deposit deadline for R1 admits was two weeks ago, so I suspect they may be getting themselves organized now that they have an idea of who from R1 will not be matriculating.

I surprisingly got an invite 2 days ago so don't lose hope. My interview is this afternoon.

Wishful thinking: that email was meant for admitted students only (they confirm your phone number so they will call you on the decision date and the address so they will mail you the welcome package) .

So I'll go ahead and entertain this thread. I have not received an invite to interview which makes me believe I will, at best, be waitlisted without interview (if that is a practice at McDonough). I received the email as well so I probably wouldn't read too hard into it.

I'm in the exact same boat as corbettas and got the email as well. In other news, Kellogg sent an erroneous email R2 and followed up with an apology email by the end of the day. Georgetown hasn't addressed their error assuming this was one. I'm clueless as to the intent of this email and am not drawing any conclusions-just a data point for everyone to consider.

They sent the same email out before R1 notifications. It is just to confirm your contact information.

I don't think this email could be considered an error. It's just asking to update your contact information. I am sure it went out to every applicant in their database, just as the "update on how we review applications" email did.
