Woke up to this worst possible news -> You are waitlisted at Notre Dame. The Rudy in me is shattered.
I might have to go to my other admit now. But, for me, Notre Dame is the #1 B-school!

Thanks mate. Honestly speaking I am a bit motivated from the last few years threads. Mendoza accepts a lot of people from waitlist. Lets see.
The BIG worry would also revolve around the amount of money the waitlist converts receive.

BU is an amazing school. There isn't much of a difference between the two when it comes to rankings or employment stats. Its just that I was always fascinated with the Notre Dame brand. I still am

I still got hope yo.

Do you think it would be okay to ask Mendoza to let me know of their decision the day after my interview? I have an internship offer and need to let them know by April 3rd, the day after my interview...

A question to all the waitlisted candidates ->

I am yet to send them a thank you email...
Did you guys send them a thank you email ? If yes, Did you receive any response to the thank you email ?

This is a bit confusing since the waitlist letter does not contain any details as to if we should submit any additional information or not.
I am absolutely not gonna take the GRE/GMAT again.

If you have ANYTHING to share w.r.t waitlisted candidates, please do!
After reading the letter, I am a bit puzzle myself. It just says I am waitlisted and I would be considered. No Info to provide the update. Nothing...

Since the Deposit deadline for R2 candidates is up, waitlisted candidates might get an update soon. Last year the international candidates received an update around 20th April to 31st April.

I have other good admits to choose from. I think I will let go the waitlist incase no decision is provided in the next 2-3 weeks. An admit with no scholarship in May would be as bad as a reject.

Round 3 candidate here too. Had my interview on campus on April 5th.
i got an email the next day that the decision for my application will be made the following week.

How long should an international applicant wait until he finally calls the school to aver- enough is enough. I am done waiting. Give me a freaking result or i am choosing the other school!

I mean wouldn’t an admit in May/june be just useless if you cannot complete the VISA processing?

Yes, I am hopeful that they will give me something this week or the next week.
Honestly, day by day- I am getting attracted to the other admits I have.

I am not sure as to how long I can put up not filling the I20 docs and arranging my finances.
The banged up US immigration system isn't helping either.

Hi,

I got a mail from Mendoza for a fee waiver for their last deadline of April 11th. I was not planning to apply as I was hoping to get an admit to the school I was hoping for. Although I have submitted the application now, any guesses of getting an interview call for an international applicant at this deadline? Just want to know providing a fee waiver could mean they would be interested in my profile?

It doesn't!

They are just trying to persuade candidates into applying. I had an application fee waiver at Carlson, BU, Simon etc.. and choose to apply to just one of them.
Many in the first and second round applied with an application fee waiver at Mendoza. I know at-least three of them.
You will get an admit/reject based on your profile and other credentials.

Regarding interview, you can receive an invite as late as a week before the deadline( like myself)
