Hey BetterWorlds - you can rest easy. I can confirm, interviews are not going to be only on those days.
So don't worry overmuch.

Thanks! Seems those interview times were for the first slew of candidates.

BetterWorlds, I understand the waiting game completely. It's agonizing when you don't hear anything.

Are they doing 2 rounds of interviews? Sending out invites for this first week in February, and then inviting others if the first group doesn't work out, and interviewing mid/late February?

Do you know when the invitations to interview for R2 will be sent out? Also, if I applied to LGO, would I also be considered for the MBA program only?

I think it works this way: if you applied from Sloan, you may be considered for an MBA, if you applied from School of Engineering, you may be considered for an engineering masters programme.

I believe BetterWorlds is correct.
The way it happens is:
1.You apply to LGO through Sloan/SoE.
2. LGO invites you to interview OR forwards your application to Sloan/SoE for consideration, as applicable.
3. If you're interviewed but don't make it through - I don't know if you then get an interview with Sloan/SoE.

Has anyone had their interviews yet? Specifically the interview candidates who have opted for Skype.
I don't know how two rounds of interviews are feasible for international candidates - since the summer term begins in June.
Does anyone know when the decisions are released and what the exact date of the term commencement is?

The final decisions are out by the 8th of March. I didn't make the first round of interviews, and no skype interview here. Hoping there's a second round, but if I haven't heard by the 15th of Feb, it's safe to say I'll be getting the ding.

Do you know when the LGO would forward applications to Sloan/SoE if someone is not considered for LGO anymore?

Okay, why specifically 15th Feb though?

On another forum someone mentioned earlier that someone got an interview invite the 2nd of February, and made it in. By the 15th, they probably know their candidates already and are preparing for the next LGO students. Just my personal timeline though. I'm already feeling like after talking to some grad school application reviewers that I might need another year of work experience to be considered.

It's my own personal timeline. By then they will have picked next years candidates (probably) and won't be sending out interview invites. After talking to some evaluators of my application, many have said that I need some more work experience to be considered. I'll probably be applying again next year. :)

I had my Skype interview on 25th.
Decisions will be released by March 1.
As per last year, the program starts in the first week of June.

Anyone else had their interviews yet?
aravinth545, how was the interview, what'd they ask - any inputs?

No specific questions. She started with anything new since you applied and went from there.
Lot of followup questions.
But it was conversational.
I see you have completed the interview. How was your experience?

aravinth545 - to be very honest, I'm not sure how it was.
For those of you who still haven't given yours:
1. The interviewer will try to put you at ease, if you're visibly nervous as I was. The idea being they want to see the natural you.
2. In my case most of the examples of Behavioural Events I faced were in a specific context (auto mfg.) - So I felt that a large part of my answers went into context setting. When you're preparing, see if you can script this part.
3. More than what you did, MIT is interested in WHY. Please, Please don't script this part. For one of my questions, I ended up repeated something I'd said in my essay - I believe it did not go down well.

All in all, I believe it could've gone better - but then I'm sure most of us feel that way. So, I'm just waiting with my fingers crossed, for that little email :)
