Unless someone has already received an invite I dont believe Adcom is sending anything before 15th Jan (Which also happens to be R2 deadline for Sloan). Which means another week of waiting

Just booked an interview slot on the 29th Jan. Planning to spend the rest of the day in the interviewfest as well. Hope to see some of you there.

Guys! Interview Invites are out! Did anyone receive and interview invite?
On a related note, does anyone know how many invites are sent out and what % of invitees usually make it through?

What form is the interview invitation sent? Is it via email? Looks like people have already received invitations. Haven't seen an email yet.

For those who haven't received an email yet - no news is still a good news. LGO website lists that initial invites will go out by 8th Jan but they will send out more invites later than that (see the text below). So unless you receive an email saying you arent making to the interview round, consider yourself still in the running.

LGO InterviewFest: selected candidates will be invited to the MIT campus for an interview. We hope to send out initial interview invitations by January 8, although you could receive an interview request later than that. Applicants are strongly encouraged to interview in person at MIT, but Skype interviews are also available if necessary (especially for international candidates).

For those of you with an invite, when did you turn your application in?

I submitted mine a day before the deadline and got an e-mail with what looks like the initial batch.

Is the "initial batch" their first preferences?

No idea - if you look at the threads from the last couple of years there were people who got interview invites as late as February and got admitted though, so keep an eye out if you haven't gotten one yet!
