Yes, MIT gives fee waivers for attending diversity and inclusion events. You can check if there are any such events happening and then attend to get one. These events are not happening all the time and MIT doesn’t mention anywhere about this on the application.

Sloan doesn’t specify in which events they would give app waiver. I think the intention is to reward those who are authentically interested in the events. I got mine by attending a virtual diversity event.

Nguyensyhao I agree, I also got mine by attending diversity event.

It maybe too late to get the application fee waiver by attending diversity event. However, if you are applying next year, you can google try attending diversity events - that’s usually around the announcement of R1 deadline.
