Can i apply for round 2 with a 710 score...I have a very highly represented profile(Indian IT male applicant). Should I retake gmat and look to score above 740? Anyone heard about someone getting into MIT with a 710?

Looking at your score breakdown of Q48 and V38, I would definitely take it again.
seriously, aim for Q50 and anywhere similar in V37~38 you would easily get 730 or higher.

In my opinion, a higher GMAT sounds ideal considering it's round 2.

I guess 24 hours from now, Sloan will release a decision on interviews for R1. Best wishes to everyone. I’m 90% sure of a ding myself, but this 10% hope is making me restless!!

Does anyone know if Sloan accepts letters of support additional to the one LOR? It does not say explicitly if they do or they do not.

If you're referring to "unofficial recommendation letters" or "e-mail" by letters of support, They do check them and place them in the applicant's file.
However, to my knowledge, it's not like a legit/official formatted like Fuqua's endorsement form.

Thanks for a bit of extra info kjyo88 👍

I would save it for the WL.
The letters of support, are sort of pretty powerless unless you can get a pretty impressive one. I would say in general, 99% of them will not do any impact. In part admissions, tries to be fair and if somebody applies with seven letters of support and three extra presentations, and then they do three interviews instead of a single interview, then things start to become a little bit unfair. Nobody wants to be blamed for favoritism or weighing in outside information and so unless this letter of support somehow explains a certain weakness or misunderstanding in your application while being important enough to be read by the AdCom, then sure. 99% of these things will not measure up to that kind of a standard.

Imagine you write a letter of support for a high school student to your undergraduate institution. Will they even care about it? Will they remember you?
