Tennyson10, have you submitted a additional letter of support? Also, many a times WL profiles are read again after all decisions depending on class yield that year. But first step is to get an interview, there will be people who are on the WL after interview so those will hear back earlier. Hope this helps. Good luck and don’t lose hope.
The Letter of Support seems to be the only one thing I haven’t done at this point, and that’s because I do not know any alum personally. I was expecting at least an invite in this round, but instead, i was waitlisted for a second time without interview.
So the letter of support does Not need to be from an MIT alum. It can be from another supervisor/client/mentor who has worked with you in a professional capacity and can vouch for your SFMBA potential and fit.
Most schools ask for 2 LORs but MIT SFMBA just needs 1 as part of the main application so this is your chance to submit another LOR/letter of support. If you can get one from an alumnus that's great but it doesn't have to be that way. Moreover, I hope you have taken advantage of scheduling an informational phone call with an adcom member which can be done via the website. In my experience, they do not give exact reasons for someone being on WL but do give a general direction and feedback on the steps you have taken to get off the WL. Good luck!
