APAC market is good for finance, 3 month post study rule makes it tough for ppl to crack.

But 7% of 120 makes only 8 people not getting a job. Now these numbers can include people goinf back to India as well within 3 months. Quite foggy these statistics are

The stats aren’t just about staying in Singapore. 51% of NUS MBA graduates changed location and 76% changed industry as part of their post-MBA move
meaning a large chunk of “employed” grads aren’t necessarily working in Singapore at all.

See singapore is a very small market.

Unlike US. UK

They have to scatter around

All this is fyn unless they are coming back to India

NUS being a regional school, I doubt many ppl getting out of Asia

But it is a great Fin. School that’s for sure

Also Class composition skews the numbers favorably With international students making up around 88–94% of the cohort the “employment rate” reported is really “international students getting jobs somewhere” not “getting jobs in Singapore specifically.” So even if Singapore hiring were tight the stat would still look strong as long as grads land jobs anywhere (home country region remote)
So the headline 93-95% figure conflates several different outcomes it’s a real number, but not proof that Singapore itself is easy to get sponsored in
Tomorrow u can also self report that u got a job
No background check
And ur number will show a positive outcome but its not the reality right

Also, one point to keep in mind - NUS doesn’t release post MBA industry breakdown. Soo we just can’t assume most went into fin. Although that is the highest possibility. If ppl have inputs about what other sectors does NUS folks go in, pls don’t feel shy to keep the inputs to yourself. Do share em!

I came across some profiles now who were in tech and are now working as Product Owners. Most of them had brief stints in Singapore post MBA and are now back in India.
