🔥 **ROAST MY MBA SCHOOL LIST** 🔥

Think your MBA shortlist is perfect? Let's see what the group thinks 😂

Drop your current shortlist below and let the group **respectfully roast it**.

For each school, mention:
🏫 School
🎯 Why you're applying
💼 Target career after MBA
💰 Scholarship / budget considerations (optional)

Then everyone else can:
👇 **Challenge one choice**
👍 **Defend one school**
🔥 **Suggest one school they think you're missing**

**Example:**
LBS — Consulting + London
ISB — Consulting / Finance + India
NUS — Asia exposure
Oxford — Brand + international career

No personal attacks — **roast the shortlist, not the person.** 😂

Let's see whose shortlist survives the roast. 👀

Before we end the Friday...

What region(s) are you targeting?

🇸🇬 *Singapore MBA applicants*

One question that comes up frequently among international applicants is whether Singapore remains attractive for foreign professionals after graduation.

According to Singapore's *Ministry of Manpower*, the country had 203,300 Employment Pass holders at the end of 2025, highlighting the continued presence of a sizeable foreign professional workforce.
At the same time, Singapore's employment-pass system is increasingly selective, so an MBA shouldn't be viewed simply as a pathway to an automatic work visa.

The quality of your pre-MBA experience, target industry, salary level and employer sponsorship all matter.

For Indian applicants considering NUS MBA, this is probably a more useful lens than rankings alone: look at where your target employers are hiring, what functions they hire MBAs for, and how your existing experience fits the Singapore market.

Hi, congrats on building something real here. A founder story backed by actual documented revenue and profit is rare in this applicant pool, and it genuinely sets you apart.

Your entrepreneurial track record (₹1.1 Cr documented revenue, ₹50L profit, lean team) shows real ownership, not just a title. Strong quant score (Q88), solid school academics, and a clear post-MBA story: years teaching and mentoring thousands, building your own venture, now looking for structured strategy skills before scaling education further.

Your undergrad CGPA of 6.55/10 is on the lower side. It likely won't sink your application given everything you've built since, but it may need a line of context in an optional essay or come up in interview.

NUS chances: According to NUS's own published class profile, the full time cohort has around 120 students, average age 29, average work experience 6 years, and average GMAT of 670 (or 615 on GMAT Focus). Indian applicants are among the most overrepresented in most MBA pools, so consultants typically suggest aiming 20 points above the class average. Your 695 clears that. Your 9 years of experience also works in your favor since NUS doesn't skew as young as some programs. Overall your profile is competitive, but NUS is holistic, so your essays and interview will need to explain the CGPA and your nontraditional background well.

Scholarships: Hard to put a number on this. NUS doesn't publish scholarship specific criteria, and awards are decided case by case after admission. Your entrepreneurial and social impact angle could appeal to a committee, but treat it as a bonus to aim for, not something to count on. Check the official NUS MBA scholarships page for the current list and criteria for your intake.
One thought, a retake pushing past 730 would meaningfully strengthen both your admit and scholarship shot given how competitive Indian applicants tend to be.

If you'd like a deeper look, Admit Expertoffers a free one on one profile evaluation and has helped many applicants get into top MBA programs, NUS included. Feel free to reach out for a detailed evaluation.
