Did anyone applied on Oct 15th receive an invite yet?

I don't think any invites have gone out yet. The email I received confirming my application submission said: "The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing applications after the October 15 deadline. Initial notifications will begin in November and continue on a rolling basis according to the deadline for which you applied."

Same here. Going by last year's topic, the first interview invite was reported on November 3rd, and round 1 interviews were sent out right up to the deadline. So next week, if anything.

Hi all,

Need guidance form those who have already completed their application form for Stern.
1. In the international student supplement, if I choose the option 'No' (for Can you completely support your first year of study at NYU Stern) can I put the relationship as 'Self' and a meager amount that I can spare?
2. Since I had already selected NYU Stern as one of the school during GMAT, I see the score already listed under the standardized tests option, so I believe I do not need to do anything here and the school already has access to my scores.
3. My transcript is A3 sized, two-sided page (one side the details of college and grade distribution info, other side detailed breakup of grades for all the semesters). I wasnt sure if I should send them both the sides scanned or just one. scanned pdf size is over 3mb
4. Under intended program, it asks for secondary and tertiary programs. Am not sure of them, should I be still filling them or leaving them as 'No intended specialization' ok?
5. Also is it advised to mention the names of other graduate programs we are applying to or should we leave it as blank?

Really appreciate your time and advice.

Hi all,

just my two cents for #3, 4, and 5:

3) I believe the committee would like to look at your detailed transcripts, so they can see what grades you earned in each of the classes you took, as opposed to an "overall" grade for each college attended.
4) If you're not sure, it's advisable to fill "not intended specialization". This is because the committee would be very interested to know what made you choose that particular specialization. Rather than fumble that time, it's better to say "...so now I'm here to get a solid grounding in year 1, and then decide which path I would pursue"
5) I would mention it. It would make you a bit more competitive. I believe this shows how much you are adamant on gaining an MBA at this point in your life.

I think they viewed my video two days ago as the number of views spiked for the first time since I posted it. Guess they watched it 4-5 times, wonder what they think?!?!! :|

I think you are right. Your video being watched multiple times could mean that the AOs took turn to review your application.

At least they didn't dismiss it as a joke after a single view so I'm going to read that as a positive in an effort to try and stay sane :lol:

Didnt they specify that no password was to be used? I remember seeing this somewhere.... perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me

Really? If you can think of where you saw that, please let me know.

On the essay information section of the website, this is all there is: "Video/Audio Submission: If you submit a video or audio file, it should be five minutes maximum, and the file should be uploaded to a video/audio hosting website. You must include the URL, along with a brief description of the video/audio piece, in a Word or PDF document. Do not mail a USB or DVD to our office. The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request an alternate essay if we are unable to view your submission."
