I'm guessing some more will come out tonight. Looks like they started coming out mid-November last year, but a lot of invites didn't go out until closer to the Dember 15 deadline, so we might be waiting a bit longer...

Where did you see Dec 15th deadline? Or are you referring to the initial decision notification date?

I was notified about a week ago that I had been offered an interview at Stern, and to give myself time to prepare and learn more about it, I scheduled it for the middle of December. (I live in NYC and can be flexible about what date I choose.) But I just realized that since admissions are rolling, it might be wise to interview earlier to increase my chance of admission. Is this the case, or does the rolling aspect of admissions only apply to the application itself?

Make sure to post relevant posts in the correct forums. I have moved your post to Stern's class of 2018 topic so that others as well benefit from the same.

Yep, was referring to the Initial Notification deadline on the application.

Hi!

I'm applying to NYU Stern Round 2- Nov 15. Will it be okay if my Recommendation and Personal project reaches them a day after November 15th? I reached out to the Admission Committee and they said that it's a rolling deadline and they want everything in by Nov 15. Are they really that tough on the deadline?

Thanks!

Judging by the discussion on this (very quiet so far) thread, a very few people have been invited so far. Looks like NYU does take its time.

You are right. Based on my posts calling-all-nyu-stern-applicants-2016-intake-class-of-200064-80.html#p1600007 and calling-all-nyu-stern-applicants-2016-intake-class-of-200064.html#p1538972 only 4 out of 205 who have applied have received their interview invites.

This might be a combination of people not updating their profiles properly or just that Stern has not released many interview invites. Last year as well there were many invites close to the Dec 15th deadline for the initial decision for R1 applicants.

I request all the applicants who do get any sort of information from the school (interview invite or a ding) to update your GMATCLUB applicant profile for that school.

I believe they are. If adcoms tell you something then there is no point in thinking otherwise. Stern does mention that all materials that are sent to the adcom must be postmarked for the deadline date. So it wont make sense for you to not follow this.

My recommender tells me that NYU Stern admissions has looked at her LinkedIn profile twice - once a few weeks ago and again about a week ago. But no invite :( - I can't only hope that it's a positive that they want to verify her and not a negative.

Good luck everyone!

Does the Stern application have a concept of "Application Complete date [_]"?

The application says application submitted on [_] but no additional confirmation about completion. Wondering if i'm missing something.

Any thoughts?

Anyone? Do you have an "Application Complete date"?

Hey guys! Im submitting my application for R2 tomorrow. Took the GMAT yesterday (had a cold and a fever) and did not do well on the quant and IR - embarrassed; on my practice tests I usually got around 710-720 and the actual test came out to be 650  ... Not sure if I should retake it or leave it as it is; won't be able to retake until December 18th or so. I took 4 college level math courses - regular college math, stats and 2 semesters of calculus, and excelled in all of them - judging from my transcripts, I obviously know math. Does anyone know how the adcom acts in such cases? Do they typically let candidates re-submit the GMAT before making a decision? Should I retake it or is it going to be too late?

Also, a little confused about the instructions on submitting transcripts. I know they ask us to upload unofficial copies, but then do we have to send official transcripts by mail, or is that only upon request?

Tbh you should probably retake it. The lower end of the middle 80% is 680

Do you think they will accept it in the middle of December?

Hi guys!

Can you tell me how to submit IELTS form? I have submitted online, and I notified NYU MBA Admission to receive one copy of the test result when I took the test. However my IELTS score has not been verified yet till today? Any idea why?

Thank you

It takes time for the adcom to verify your scores against your originals. Dont worry about it. You can email the adcom in a couple of weeks if it still does not show verified.

Where was this requested? There's nothing on the essay instruction page (http://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admis ... ons/essays) or on the page to submit your essays in the application...
