Hi There,
This is strange. It is almost impossible for your scores to change from the unofficial score you saw at the end of your exam. I have seen cases where percentiles change (mine did and many others) perhaps you didn't see the initial score of 321 correctly?

Overall, I would suggest mailing ETS first to get clarity on the situation informing them of the probable error, and get feedback from them.
If ETS insists your score is now 319, I would suggest mailing the schools you applied to with that score originally, as the application process isn't too far along yet. Mail them informing them there has been a mixup in your scoring as you have just received your unofficial scorecard. Attach the PDF to the email, and ask them to kindly assist in updating your GRE score on the platform.

Also, your score isn't bad, you're well within the GRE 80% range for Stern (Q152 - 170, V159 - 169). Furthermore, you are within the 100% range as well (Q152 - 170, V153 - 170). However, if you do feel like you have enough time and resources to retake the GRE before decisions or you just feel strongly about it, you definitely should.

Hi everyone, I need some urgent advice and btw did this happen with anybody else??my unofficial gre score was 321 but today on the official score card it shows 319. I’m confused and scared, is this score bad for a indian female doctor aiming nyu? Should I mail the ets support or retake the exam? I’d be grateful for any kind of help.

Mayokun01, Hey thank you for the reply. I have given gre 3 times and this never happened before so I’m quite shocked too. I don’t think that i made a mistake on my score but you’re right I should clarify with ets. However, if it really is 319, is applying for nyu mba would be considered hopeless in my case?

Hello,

Ouch, I'm sorry you had to retake the GRE multiple times. I'm positive that won't be an issue provided your application is rock solid in other areas. Your essays, ECs, work experience, and the whole picture have to come together well. Adcoms always say they take a holistic view of every application so please know that the GRE is just one component and doesn't mean you're ruled out or "hopeless". I've personally seen someone with a GRE score of 310 get into an even higher-ranked MBA program, Kellogg.

However, as I mentioned earlier on, if you feel very strongly about the score and feel like you need to retake it, and you're sure you have enough time and resources to retake it, please go for it.

Mayokun01, unfortunately I’m a reallyyyy bad test taker and with round 2 deadline in 4 days, I’ll just have apply with this score. Being an Indian candidate I just don’t want to get my hopes up. Given my ECs, essays are decent, will i even have a chance or not, given the brilliant people here, that’s something I’m worried about. So given nyu, should I consider it at least an acceptable score?

Yes please, don't beat yourself up about it. It is indeed an acceptable score. You definitely have a chance and I truly believe you will do great! Sometimes, the things we worry the most about end up being a breeze, literally.

Also, please do not think being an Indian candidate is a disadvantage, from the positive side of things, international students do add to the multicultural environment MBA programs do need & you are truly deserving!

I would say also, just for extra insurance, do explore some schools you would genuinely like to apply to as "safety schools".

Good luck with your applications, I truly wish you all the best!

Don’t fall prey to fraud companies like "MBA and Beyond", as they are doing business just by making people fool. They don’t have industry expertise as well. Most of them are like MBA and Beyond only

Guys please ignore this spammer..this person created an account 2 days back on GMAT Club and is using this platform to post this baseless comment about MBA&Beyond on multiple chat groups and forums. I myself had a great experience with MBA&Beyond. The consistent support and value addition from MBA&Beyond were super helpful for me.

But how can you possibly tell that the comment is baseless when someone else has come forward to write about their own poor experience with the firm? Does your own experience invalidate theirs? I suggest you ask the firm to engage these people privately to ascertain what really transpired. $5000 is a boatload of money to let go of that easily!

I got the interview invite last week and the only open slots were for this week and next week. Purely my speculation but they might be sending interview invites in batches and filling only 2 weeks at a time.
I interviewed yday coz that was the earliest slot available I could get. The interview was very conversational and the interviewer was really engaged and it felt like they were genuinely interested in getting to know me more. The interviewer had seen my entire app so the first question was about a pic in my Pick Six.
brightgmat, if you dont mind sharing, what was your gmat score?

Is an on-campus interview an option? I didn’t see it on the site when scheduling.
