I’d say both approaches can work. The adcom isn’t just looking for achievements, they also want to see the people, values, and experiences that shaped you. If your family picture genuinely reflects that, it can be powerful. The key is to balance it with other visuals that show your impact or milestones, so they see the full story.

I heard somewhere that their Mock Application Workshop sessions give waiver. But all the upcoming sessions are at max capacity.

I haven’t registered yet this year but will do it post October but have met an agent of theirs in one event and they told me the same. Attend one of their events and they will waive the application fees

As far as fee waivers is considered
Kindly ignore all the rumours
M7 Yale haas NYU do not give waivers for attending events as of now
Look out for their website for further information

They only give waivers if you fit certain criteria as mentioned on their respective websites
