Hi All,

I am planning to apply in R4 (Feb 15). Would be wise for me to apply this season or should I wait for the next? And, what is the general turn around time for the school to send out invite for interview? I am Technology consultant based out of India, with 640 GMAT.

Hi All,

If you got a good application package, definitely apply now, unless you are expecting a promotion. If you are not, then just go get your MBA this year, or else it would be a sub optimal way to spend your next 12 months.

Consultant is good, GMAT 640 is not. Highly recommend you to apply AND retake your GMAT at the same time. Olin has a near 700 GMAT average, so even if you got in with your 640, you might be missing some essential skills and understanding you would get from studying for the GMAT.

I was very disappointed by the scholarships offered by Olin this year despite a great interview and application. For a school that was known to be generous, I have been let down. I hope it was just me though and everyone else fares well.

Same here - scholarship was very minuscule (almost laughable). Even in their FAQ in the admissions package they state that only a fraction get anything so don’t hold your breath people!

Probably won’t matriculate at this point….

Yup! I don't get how they disburse the scholarship amounts year on year actually. Because before applying, I had found that Olin was the most generous school off late with 1 in 5 students getting a full scholarship. Clearly doesn't seem like that's the case anymore. Unfortunate times people! All the best to the remaining gang of people.

Sorry to hear that they are bad :( I personally got a good one so I guess I got lucky.

Maybe the rise in ranking (now top 20 on US today) contributed to the decrease in scholarships :(
