Completed my R4 interview with Ashley. Straight forward interview as people have mentioned.

Now I wait!

I submitted my app 2/14. Received invite 2/21. Completed interview today. Now I have to wait 2 months for a decision

Any hope for R3 applicants for an interview invite or is it as good as a ding, now that R4 interview invites have also started rolling out?? :(

PugLyfe, did they tell you that you have to wait till April? So they don't do rolling admission?

I did not explicitly ask about it. I just assumed I will be waiting until the posted notification deadline for R4.

sacman, what's your background? Your GMAT is impressive so it's surprising that you didn't get anything from Olin and got some WLs and a ding from others.

4 years work-ex in an entrepreneurial venture and a tech startup. Undergrad from IIT. I must say I over-estimated my chances at some of the top schools, but the competition seems to be insane if you are an Indian applicant.

Not surprised with Olin's lack of love. This thread clearly shows that very few scholarships were handed out this year

The way you present yourself in the interview too has a say in making or breaking a situation apart from the figures (GMAT, GPA, Years of Work Ex). My friend who is from a private engineering college with 4 years of work ex in an HR role at a leading MNC with 740 GMAT and decent ECA got 50% schol from Olin.

I think that interviews influence the amount of aid less so than hard statistics. Great work accomplishments and interview skills will get help get you admitted over similarly qualified candidates, but at the end of the day, schools are trying to entice candidates that may go to higher tier schools with money.

I will have to agree with your point. My friend, after negotiating with Olin, picked up on a lower ranked school than #Olin because he was getting a 100% schol from there. Olin didn't even move from 50% to 55% and he finally had to take a decision :)

Yup, thats definitely their goal. However, this year it definitely seems as though Olin is not too generous with scholarships. I admit that scholarship funding is a big consideration for me, so I will certainly be swayed lol

Had to pass on Olin officially today. 100% because their scholarship offer didn't measure up.

So do I. The program at Owen is so comparable to Olin's, and even better at some aspects. Thus, the low scholarship from Olin made my choice easier. How about you?
