I agree with 50/50. Based on my experience, I saw an equal proportion of people getting admitted vs rejected so I would say 50/50 makes more sense. But I would also recommend to not focus on this, I have done this myself but at the end of the day, it does not really matter. All it does is just make you happy for a short span of time :p

hi guys, I just joined gmat club solely for this purpose. To get some help. I applied in the 3rd round only to Oxford and I got shortlisted for the interview. Can y’all please throw in some tips and questions?

and I noticed people saying the person interviewing matters, as in if its someone external we’ll get rejected by default?

lol no... obviously in person has the advance as they actually could see you physically (it really does not matter but i think there will be a subconscious bias)

tips would be to know yourself very well and your motivations - since most of the questions surrounds that

The questions are mostly around your goals, why MBA and why Oxford. Also a couple of questions on leadership experience and working within teams

I would add to the folks that say 70/30, as this was also my experience. Interview is really about showing them that what you wrote in the application and your motivation are genuine, so just be yourself and do not stress too much. If you really really want to prepare focus on your career trajectory and the research you made to reach your goals as advised by the admission team.

Also, internal vs. external does not really matter. Of course every person is different and will have subconscious biases as well, but I was interviewed by an external consultant and got admitted :)
